    Before reaching the narrow passage on the right side of the map, consider your party composition. If you lack a Black Mage, it's advisable to have someone switch jobs for the upcoming boss fight, as Thunder magic is highly effective.

    On the other side of the Canal, a whirlpool will appear and pull your ship in, initiating a battle with Karlabos.

Boss Battle: Karlabos

Strategy:

  • Fighters like Knights, Thieves, or Monks should focus on physical attacks.
  • A Blue Mage can use Aero for decent damage.
  • A Black Mage using Thunder will deal significant damage.
  • Your White Mage should prioritize healing.

Karlabos Stats:

  • Level: 5
  • HP: 650
  • Steal: Potion
  • Weakness: Lightning

After defeating Karlabos, Syldra will sacrifice herself to save the ship from the whirlpool. Without Syldra, the ship can only follow the currents, eventually drifting into the Ship Graveyard.

Monsters in Torna Canal:

  • 191 Sucker (Level 6, HP 50, Drops Potion, Weak to Lightning)
  • 192 Octokraken (Level 7, HP 60, Drops Potion)
Tips
  • If you don't have a Black Mage, consider changing a party member's job to Black Mage before the Karlabos fight, as Thunder magic is very effective.
  • The Black Mage's Thunder attack dealt almost 3 times the damage of the Blue Mage's Aero or the Knight's attack in testing.
