Farming Boss Monsters in Treasure Groves
To farm Treasure Dungeons, you’ll first need to farm Treasure Grove Saplings. One Treasure Grove Sapling will create one randomly generated Treasure Grove. The layout and theme of the dungeon varies each time, but for farming these bosses, you’ll want to focus on the boss floor. If it’s a monster dungeon, the boss at the end may be one of the two you’re seeking. If not, replant the Treasure Grove and try again. This can be a tedious process, so it’s good to have other targets in mind, like boss fish that can also spawn at the end of a Treasure Grove dungeon.
Once one of these two Treasure Grove exclusive boss monsters spawns, explore the dungeon, clear it, and defeat the boss to get its drops. The dungeon’s level (difficulty) doesn’t matter, so planting Treasure Groves in the present day (lowest difficulty) can speed up farming. You can further expedite this process by having friends play the game. If you are both planting Treasure Groves, one can invite the other to their world to clear a desirable Treasure Grove together. The visitor will receive a Treasure Grove Branch, allowing them to replant a copy of this dungeon in their own world, effectively doubling your resource accumulation.
