Discover the locations of all Shrines in FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time. Learn about the challenges within each Shrine and the Strangelings you can obtain to recruit new buddies.
Shrines are poop-shaped buildings scattered throughout Ginormosia, with one or two appearing in each region. Each Shrine contains a challenge that, upon completion, rewards you with a Strangeling. These Strangelings can be reverted into buddies at the goddess statue in Base Camp. Buddies are crucial for crafting Lives, as they can be assigned to assist you, passively boosting your crafting skill. Combat lives can aid in battle, and gathering lives can join you in resource gathering activities.
To make finding Shrines easier, it's recommended to first locate the Towers in each region to clear the fog of war. The map provided in the original guide offers a general idea of Shrine locations.
Shrine Challenges
Once a Shrine is found, you must enter and complete its challenge to obtain the Strangeling. Challenges fall into several categories:
- Combat: Defeat enemies, typically three waves, often culminating in a boss monster. Challenges usually have a 3:00 time limit per wave and may have a recommended level of 50+, though the final boss is often Lv40.
- Gathering: Mine ore deposits or fell trees over three rounds, with different objectives each round. A 3:00 time limit applies per round. Recommended Life skill is often 400 or 650. Gathering companions can ease this challenge.
- Mushroom Memory: A memorization minigame where you must repeat a sequence of lights by jumping on colored Mushrooms.
- Panel Puzzle: Navigate a maze to step on every panel exactly once before reaching an exit tile. Teleporters may complicate the maze, and puzzles can have multiple stages.
- Scarecrows: Destroy a specific number of Scarecrows within a time limit (e.g., 200 points in 1:00, with each Scarecrow worth 10 points). Avoid bomb decoys, as they deduct points.
