Learn how to achieve the perfect run in Deathloop by strategically eliminating Visionaries across Karl's Bay, The Complex, Fristad Rock, and Updaam in a single day.

Playing the game and following your Visionary Leads will lead you to the same information as below. But, it's still nice to have all info gathered in a tidy page.

Prep Before the Kill

In order to get the Visionaries into place, so that you can kill them in one day, you'll need to play some chess first. Move the pieces into place, and you'll start to see the big picture.

The most important Visionary Leads are the following:

  • Egor: Lost in Transmission - If you sabotage Egor's experiment earlier in the day, he'll suddenly have an opening in his schedule. He'll be at Dorsey Manor in Updaam in the Evening.
  • Charlie - Space Invader - You don't need to kill Charlie for this one (but you might as well). You just need some information found in Charlie's bedroom. Which leads you to...
  • Fia & Charlie: Afternoon Delight - In order to find Fia and Charlie in Fristad Rock in the Afternoon, you'll need to head to their hideout and crack the code using pictograms found in Fia's 'Fractured Image' bunker. You'll need to be careful sneaking around; if you get caught, Fia will blow up Fristad Rock, killing everyone left behind. Luckily, and information you find is kept in your Visionary Leads, so you don't need to escape to remember it.
  • Wenjie - What Wenjies Want - Completion of this will bring Wenjie to Dorsey Manor in Updaam every evening. This allows you to kill Aleksis, Egor, and Wenjie in one go.
  • Frank - The Ballad of Ramblin' Frank - Completing this will provide you the knowledge of how to kill Frank with an explosion, while you're elsewhere.
  • Julianna - Radio Silence - You'll need to complete this to make your escape.

The other two Visionary Leads (Harriet - Chaos Theory and Aleksis - Devouring of the Lambs)aren't necessary to beat the game. By killing Harriet, you'll finish Chaos Theory, and making Aleksis reveal himself is only useful for picking him out of the crowd. In my opinion, there are enough Eternalists at Dorsey Manor that you might as well slaughter everyone you come across, using the Nexus Slab or other abilities. Aleksis will be among the dead.

Morning - Karl's Bay

Head to Karl's Bay first. Using Otto's code, sabotage Frank's fireworks by choosing to 'Jam the rain flaps'.

Next, kill Harriet. If you've practiced before, you'll know what to do. Otherwise, you'll need to make your way onto the plane (Harriet starts off by standing in the cockpit), and shoot the button through the window, to open the door. This will grant you access to Harriet (and a few Eternalist guards).

Noon - The Complex

All you need to do here is grab a Field Nullifier from Egor's building, and ruin his experiment by putting in the code you discovered.

The console is invisible, but you can see it sparkling away in-game. The screenshot above failed to capture this glimmer, so I've circled it.

Just watch out - you'll want to clear the area of the Eternalists first, because you'll be disabling your Slabs temporarily (including your Reprise Slab). Obviously, feel free to take control of the Field Nullifier with your Hackamajig, so you can turn it on and off again quickly, giving you control of your Slabs again while you work.

Afternoon - Fristad Rock

Making your way to Fia and Charlie's love nest, you'll find the familiar console. As you can see in the screenshot below, I've already input the code once before, so the numbers now float above it. Very helpful! If not, well...

If you haven't entered them yet, you'll find them in your Visionary Leads tab (my pictogram code will be different from yours, so don't bother trying).

Enter the code you uncovered earlier with the pictograms.

Entering, you'll find the pair up on a platform. Watch out for tripmines, and feel free to link them using Nexus. Charlie can teleport, so you'll want to watch out for him. Also, be careful not to knock Charlie into the water below: you'll miss out on his Slab.

After killing Fia, the water levels will start to rise, and Fristad Rock will prepare to blow up. You'll need to make a mad dash for the exit.

Evening - Updaam

Time for the main event. Crash the party at Dorsey Manor, killing Aleksis, Egor, and Wenjie.

You'll need to watch out. Wenjie doesn't have a slab, and she has no duplicates at this time of the day. Aleksis has Karnesis, allowing him to pick you up and throw you. Egor has Aether, allowing him to turn invisible to sneak up on you or escape.

Personally, my favorite tactic is to use the sniper rifle and the nail gun to thin the herd. If you climb up to the room overlooking the front of the building and bar, you'll be able to kill almost everyone inside the Manor, one by one. Sometimes, they'll notice you and a few Eternalists will run up to fight you, so keep the door closed and watch your back.

Once you've killed all three, make your way to the RAK.

Board the Rakyetoplan.

The Stabilizer Core

You'll be taken up to the Stabilizer Core, to fight Julianna. It's time to end this.

Walking forever in our own footsteps. This is a pretty lore-heavy area, but not due to documents, books, or audio recordings. If you care about the story and the lore, take the time to read the writing on the walls.

Take the Pistol

There are three endings to Deathloop. Obviously, spoilers ahead.

Julianna gives you to the count of three to make your choice.

  • Ending 1 - Kill Julianna before she counts to three. Then, take the jump. This will give you an open-ended ending where you've successfully broken the loop. Everyone is alive and it's the First Day again, but now there will be a second. Julianna allows you to live, but she clearly hates you for what you did.
  • Ending 2 - Kill Julianna before she counts to three. Then, _don't_ jump. The day will start again with the loop unbroken, and all nine Visionaries still alive.
  • Ending 3 - Don't shoot Julian
