Each killer possesses a unique power and set of perks that dictate their playstyle, offering distinct approaches to hunting down survivors. The killer's primary objective is to prevent survivors from escaping by sacrificing them to the Entity. This is achieved through chasing, downing, hooking, and preventing generator repairs. Understanding your killer's strengths and weaknesses, and how they interact with different maps and survivor strategies, is crucial for success.

The Trapper (The Classic Hunter)

The Trapper excels at area denial and setting ambushes. His unique power, Power of the Trapper, allows him to place bear traps around the map. Survivors who step on these traps become immobilized, making them easy prey. His playstyle is about map control and predicting survivor movement.

• Key Perks: Brutal Strength, Unnerving Presence, Agitation.
• Strategy: Place traps in high-traffic areas, near generators, and in common looping spots. Patrol generators and use your traps to secure downs. Learn common survivor escape routes to set effective ambushes.
• When to Play: Maps with plenty of obstacles and loops for trap placement.

The Wraith (The Stealthy Stalker)

The Wraith's power, All-Seeing Spirit, allows him to become invisible and move faster while in his bell-ringing state. This enables him to sneak up on unsuspecting survivors, often catching them off guard during generator repairs or healing. His playstyle is about surprise and quick engagements.

• Key Perks: Shadowborn, Bloodhound, Predator.
• Strategy: Use your invisibility to approach generators or survivors from unexpected angles. Listen for the bell sound to know when you're about to reappear. Break line of sight before uncloaking for maximum surprise.
• When to Play: Maps with open areas or where survivors tend to be less observant.

The Hillbilly (The Relentless Pursuer)
