Crysis 3 Part 16 walkthrough: Fight the Mastermind, escape dark caverns, and find the M.I.K.E. and Nanosuit Upgrade Module.
Walkthrough
- 1From the overlook, tag the Ceph and begin killing them. Armor-up and jump down to the low area.
- 2Be prepared for a couple of Scorchers as you go up the incline. There will be a few more Ceph near the cannon.
- 3Go up the rubble slope to the third battery and interact to destroy the last cannon.
- 4With the last cannon destroyed, help Psycho by hammering the Ceph with the aircraft’s guns as he circles.
- 5When Psycho lands, make your way through the rubble to get to him.
- 6You will man a cannon on a dizzying ride as Ceph gunships spiral in.
- 7When the craft is damaged, it will be set down for a quick once-over; defend it with an AGL (Assault Grenade Launcher).
- 8When you finally take off, a tough Mastermind will appear and force you back to the ground.
- 9Badly damage the Mastermind to get it to pull you in for a battle of the minds; mash the prompt when it does.
- 10After defeating the Mastermind, go toward the waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination) for Columbus Circle.
- 11A cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) places you in a dark subterranean cave under the Circle; pick up the 9 MM handgun. Your suit has malfunctioned, leaving you without communications, armor, or cloak (stealth ability).
- 12Advance through the narrow crevice, crouch to get under the car, and kick the debris aside.
- 13Pass under the tram wreckage. Continue along the rock shelf in the dusty gloom.
- 14Keep going through the crevice and go past the wreckage, then jump up the ledges.
- 15Crouch and continue as the ceiling crumbles and the floor gives way, plunging you into a waterway.
- 16Follow the flowing water, take another plunge, and another Ceph hallucination will occur.
- 17Continue out of the crevice and cross the spine into the burning area.
- 18Follow the watercourse down grade until it transitions into a dry circular conduit. Another hallucination will occur.
- 19Go left on the rock shelf and cross over to the right side of the cavern where you will find a couple of JAW (Javelin) launchers, ammo, an arrow case, and a Datapad.
- 20Jump up to hack the Weapons Pod on the nearby ledge and take the M.I.K.E. (Mobile Infantry Kinetic Emitter) and the Nanosuit Upgrade Module near it.
- 21Go down the incline past the arrow case and take cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) behind the spine.
- 22Hack the Mine on the left. Defeat the Scorcher and the roving Ceph Infantry Unit.
- 23Kill the Scorcher with an electric arrow and hack the Turret Gun below to get its Incinerator.
- 24Locate a spot where you can hit the Turret Gun without being killed by peeking around an obstruction with “Sensor Upgrade” active.
- 25Use your visor to check for potent Ceph weapons as you make your way down the incline onto the metallic deck.
- 26Take the Bolt Rifle near the Mindcarrier. Interact with the Mindcarrier.
- 27After a brief hallucination, you will emerge super-charged with the Bolt Rifle. Defeat the attacking Ceph, including a Devastator.
- 28Start toward the waypoint opposite the first Mindcarrier. This path requires you to jump two ledges and will get you into another crevice.
- 29Ahead, you will find an arrow case, an ammo crate, a Datapad, and a Weapons Pod.
- 30When the power boost abates, the suit will be back online, and two Secondary Missions will be available: locate the origin of a CELL Locator Beacon and disable the Cooling Structure.
- 31Continue through the crevice behind the Pod and, after killing the Ceph lookout, you will see the second Mindcarrier ahead and to the far left when you move down the incline.
Tips
- Your best strategy against the Mastermind is to circle away from its EMP blasts which drain your energy.
- Use the most potent weapon available, such as an L-Tag (Light Anti-Tank weapon), JAWs, or other heavy weapons found around the area.
- Use concrete barriers to hide behind.
- Try for the weak spot on the Mastermind's back.
- Grenades and super-thermite arrows also work well against the Mastermind.
- The Ceph in the dark tunnels are hard to see due to poor lighting.
- The Turret Gun is deadly since you have no cloak or armor; be careful when engaging it.
- Ceph weapons have unlimited energy during your super-charged state.
- M.I.K.E.
- Nanosuit Upgrade Module
- Bolt Rifle
- Secondary Missions: Locate CELL Locator Beacon, Disable Cooling Structure
