Walkthrough

    Levitate to the broken security door leading to the Bright Falls AWE. This unlocks the On Writing the Manuscript Hotline entry.

    Ride the elevator down. When it stops, go outside, grab a lamp to burn away darkness blocking the lift's descent.

    Defeat the attacking Hiss Charged and Hiss Warped.

    Get back in the lift. At the bottom, listen to the Dr. Hartman Interrogation tape and claim the Bright Falls AWE Entrance control point.

    Continue through the double doors and pull the light switch three times.

    Traverse the Oceanview Motel:

    Ring the bell in the lobby to open room 1. Switch on the table lamp to burn away Dark.

    In room 3, interact with the projector twice.

    Back in the lobby, pick up keys from the desk to unlock the Wake Writes a Beginning Hotline entry.

    Get the power on:

    Go to the dark control room. Call a Ranger on the radio and Levitate down to the lit platform.

    Pick up the power core and Launch it into a socket on another platform.

    Launch the second core into a socket at the top of the area.

    Pick up and Launch the third core into a socket on the left.

    Return to the second platform and flick a switch to turn on the lights.

    Defeat Hartman:

    Hartman will grow an armor bar and punch the ground, knocking out a power core and plunging the area into darkness.

    Deal with any summoned enemies in the lit areas.

    Find the displaced power core and Launch it back into place.

    Repeat this process until Hartman is defeated.

    After the fight, you will earn 1 Ability Point and unlock the Third Thing trophy.

  • On the first platform, find a tape recorder with Dr. Hartman's Notes: Next Steps.
  • Nearby, find a folder with the Bright Falls (1976) Supplement case file.
  • In the office cubicles, search the floor for two folders containing the Wake Evidence report and a Wake Photograph.
  • Activate the lift, step off, and drop down to find a loot container and a folder with the Nightsprings Screenplay Pg. 4.
  • Call the lift back down, head up to the control room, and look among the papers on the floor for a folder with the Alice Wake Interview report.
