How To Open Diego's Safe

Find out how to open Diego's safe in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II's El Sin Nombre mission. Get the code and the rewards inside!

Alright, so you're in the El Sin Nombre mission and you've made your way up the ledge outside the building. The first window you see? Be careful, there's usually a guard chilling there. Your best bet is to make a dash for the second opening as fast as you can.

This second opening leads you right into Diego's room. Good news is, no guards are patrolling in here during normal play. Now, if you open the door right next to the bathroom, you'll find a safe. Problem is, you won't have a clue what the combination is. We spent ages looking around the room for clues, but the code was actually right in front of us the whole time.

Here's the trick: step back from the closet with the safe and head around the corner. On the left wall, you'll spot a portrait. There's also a cupboard you can open for a weapon underneath it. Take a good look at that portrait – you'll see a date: 02-02-19. That's your safe combination. Diego really didn't make it easy, did he?

Head back to the safe and punch in 02-02-19. Soap will then unlock it, giving you access to a Plate Carrier vest and a Lockwood 300 riot gun. You might want to grab the gun, but keep in mind it'll totally blow your stealthy approach if you're trying to sneak around looking for El Sin Nombre.

Quick heads-up: You don't actually *need* to open this safe for the mission. The contents are just nice extras. You can totally skip it and head straight for Diego, as the keycard you need is in his room anyway.
