Complete Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Recon by Fire walkthrough covering patrols, buildings, and sniper challenges. Follow our guide to complete the mission.

First Sniping Challenge:

1. Near the windmills, you will overlook a sniper challenge. Your task is to eliminate all armed guards in the area.
2. Targets include solo snipes, duo snipes, and targets requiring repositioning to take out two enemies with one round.
3. Move near the Windfarm for one collateral challenge, then move right of Price for another.
4. Target locations:
   • One alone bottom right near a smoking shed.
   • Another alone to the very far right of the compound.
   • One more alone at the very top right of the compound, north from the previous target.
   • Two together near the far right of the compound beside a forklift.
   • Three playing cards towards the center-right area. Position somewhat right of Price to hit the two targets.
   • Slightly south of the three card players, back against a round fish hatchery.
   • Another alone target slightly to the bottom left of the previous target near other hatcheries.
   • Two targets standing near a building on the bottom left of the camp. Wait for a third person to pass before shooting.
   • Take out the one person walking by themselves.
   • The final target in that area is south of civilian compound workers congregating around a hatchery.
   • Relocate to the next set of rocks and grass to the right of Price. Take out two guards near the garage area towards the back-center of the compound.
   • South of the garage, guards are near a truck. Pick off the one walking alone when he is behind an object between him and the truck.
   • Aim from rocks on the left side of the wind turbine along the road below you and Price to line up the final shots.
   • From that shot, drag your aim towards the pickup trucks at the front of the compound to spot one guy under the truck and one by the car door. You and Price will take both out.
   • Move to the left side of the car park for two more guys by a car. This is another cooperative shot for you and Price.

Second Patrol:

1. Lie down near rocks and yellow flowers to avoid the second patrol.
2. Make your way down the hill to the compound.
3. A car full of Al Quds soldiers will leave trucks and do a quick patrol. Stay behind, drop into prone, and hide your weapon.
4. Position yourself near the rocks on the hill; the guards will not cross them.

Clearing the First Compound:

1. Head to the roof of the first building. Use flash, tear gas, and smoke to clear enemies, then drop in when safe.
2. Clear the two buildings in the compound. Start with the building on the left.
3. Throw a smoke grenade into the top left corner of the skylight to keep enemies in the other room and back corner contained.
4. Spray down enemies on the right side of the room with your AR.
5. Reposition to the right side of the skylight and shoot the feet of the guy covering the long angle below the light.
6. Drop down. Enemies in the other room and back corner will emerge. Use cover, or on harder difficulties, pop smoke below you for cover and use your sniper rifle's thermal.
7. Once all enemies are dealt with, go to the container in the room and look for clues.
8. The game spawns five heavily armored cartel members. Two will come through the door in the second room.
9. Use your Heartbeat sensor. Go through the left door with your sniper out. Pop one in the head, and Price will snipe the other.
