The German and Russian Luger pistols in Call of Duty 2026 are functionally identical, differing only in appearance and sound. You should utilize these pistols when you have run out of ammunition for your primary weapon, especially if you are using a sniper rifle. When an enemy closes the distance, attempting a sniper shot becomes very difficult; instead, switch to your pistol and aim for the head (a critical hit to the head).

Each pistol holds approximately 7 shots before requiring a reload. Landing about 2 or 3 headshots will be enough to eliminate an enemy. Pistols can also be effective for securing easy kills against less skilled opponents, conserving your primary ammunition. Some players even use pistols for suppressing fire (continuously shooting to keep enemies pinned down).
