Learn how to add friends to your buddy list in Battlefield 1942 using console commands after the 1.4 patch.
Walkthrough
- 1Open the scoreboard to see the number assigned to each player.
- 2Press the console key (the ~ key) and type "AB [player number]" (e.g., "AB 24"), replacing [player number] with the desired player's number.
- 3The player will be highlighted in green on your map, minimap (a small radar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked) display on your HUD), and in the game world if they are on your team. Their messages and kill notifications will also appear in green.
Tips
- This feature was added in the 1.4 patch.
- You can find a player's number by typing "LP" in the console.
- This is especially useful for keeping track of friends on the large maps in Battlefield 1942.
