Walkthrough for A Way Out's Gas Station Robbery. Learn how to choose between Leo's aggressive or Vincent's covert approach, crack the safe, and practice with new weapons.

After a series of cutscenes, you must rob a gas station. You must choose one of two "ways": Vincent's way, in which Vincent takes the gun, or Leo's way, in which Leo keeps the gun. Leo's way is more aggressive and flagrant while Vincent is more calculated and covert.

For Leo's way, head to the door of the gas station. Leo will bust inside while firing his pistol. While Leo talks to the cashier, have Vincent talk to the customers and sabotage the phone. Afterward, Leo finds out there is money in the back room. However, when he goes inside, someone jumps him and grabs him. As Vincent, run inside and take the enemy down. While one character is at the safe, the other needs to go back, take the gun from the cashier, and demand the safe number. She quickly spills the number, and after inputting the code, grab the cash and leave the gas station. Run to your car for a cutscene; you do not participate in the car chase this time.

For Vincent's way, instead of barging in guns a-blazing, you simply walk in the store like a customer. Then, you should talk to each of the customers at the store and get them to leave. You should also sabotage the phone. After all of the customers are gone and the phone is unplugged, you can start the robbery with Vincent by talking to the cashier. From there, the game plays out exactly the same as Leo's way with the safe in the back.

After the robbery, there will be a cutscene and you will meet Jasmine, a gun dealer. There is another "way" here -- you can choose Vincent's way, which is to handle it, or Leo's way, which is to intervene. This is similar to the way at the construction site because it does not alter gameplay at all and only affects the dialogue immediately following. So, you can safely choose either way -- just make sure that you both agree on one way.

You can now practice with the weapons in the trunk. I recommend practicing with all of them, since up until this point in the game, you have only used a shotgun and only during the chase sequences. Get acquainted with aiming and firing, and try all of the weapons. When you are ready, you both need to enter the car in order to leave.
