Beyond your personal inventory, Witchbrook provides several storage solutions to help manage your ever-growing collection of items. The most common form of storage is through Chests, which are strategically placed throughout Witchbrook Academy and in various safe zones within the game world. Your personal dormitory room at the academy is equipped with a basic wooden chest, offering an initial 30 slots of storage. This chest is accessible at any time when you are in your room and is ideal for storing items you don't need to carry on your person but wish to keep for later use.

As you advance in your studies and gain favor with the academy faculty, you may unlock access to more secure and larger storage options. For instance, completing the "Advanced Alchemy" questline might grant you access to a dedicated alchemical storage locker in the alchemy lab, offering an additional 40 slots specifically for herbs, reagents, and potions. Similarly, graduating from certain magical disciplines could unlock specialized chests within the library or the arcane research wing, each with unique capacities and potentially themed for specific item types, such as spell scrolls or enchanted artifacts. These specialized storage solutions are invaluable for keeping your crafting materials organized and readily available.

It is important to understand that items stored in chests are generally safe from being lost. However, it is always wise to keep valuable or rare items, such as a Moonstone or a particularly potent magical artifact, in your personal inventory or a highly secure, unlocked chest if you are concerned about potential game events or future updates. While the game mechanics do not currently indicate any risk of chest contents being lost, prudent players often maintain a distinction between long-term storage for common items and more immediate access for their most prized possessions. Regularly sorting and organizing your chests will prevent them from becoming cluttered, making it easier to find the specific items you need for crafting, trading, or equipping.
