Its distinctive broad green leaves and small white flowers make it easy to spot. Other plants are more elusive. The Moonpetal Bloom, for example, is a rare flower that only blossoms under the light of a full moon and is found deep within the Whispering Woods. Its petals shimmer with a faint luminescence and are a key ingredient in the Elixir of Insight, which temporarily boosts your Intelligence stat by 5 points.

Correct identification is paramount. Misidentifying a plant can lead to ineffective potions or, worse, dangerous side effects. For instance, mistaking a Nightshade Berry for a common berry could result in a temporary debuff that reduces your spellcasting speed by 15% for 1 minute. Nightshade Berries are identifiable by their deep purple, almost black color and their slightly bitter aroma. They are often found in shaded, damp areas.

The Academy's Herbology curriculum often includes practical exercises. You might be tasked with collecting 5 samples of Swiftbloom Petals from the meadows surrounding the Academy. These vibrant, fast-growing flowers are known for their energizing properties and are used in potions that temporarily increase movement speed.
