Many campaign missions feature optional objectives that appear on your minimap as yellow markers. These can range from destroying specific enemy structures, capturing additional resource points, or defending a vulnerable ally. Completing these objectives often rewards you with bonus Elite Points, which are crucial for deploying your powerful Elite units more frequently. They can also unlock unique Doctrines or provide temporary buffs to your army. Always assess if the risk of pursuing an optional objective outweighs the potential reward, especially on higher difficulties. Sometimes, securing an extra Power Generator early can significantly accelerate your tech progression.
