Investigating the Source

Instructions for investigating the anomaly's source in Voidtrain, including combat tips and preparation.

The Void Compass will lead you to a large, distinct island or a cluster of smaller islands surrounded by unusual energy. This is the anomaly's source. Dock your train safely nearby. Before disembarking, ensure you have a basic weapon (e.g., a crafted Spear or Bow) and some healing items (Bandages, basic food). The anomaly will likely be guarded by hostile creatures, such as Void Lurkers or Shard Spiders. Proceed cautiously, using cover and observing enemy patrol patterns. Your objective is to find the central point of the anomaly, often marked by a unique structure or a large concentration of Void energy.

Combat Tip: Aim for headshots on most creatures for increased damage. Use your environment to your advantage, luring enemies into chokepoints or using elevated positions.
