1. Introduction
The Story So Far
It's the year 2003. The U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) is stepping up its intelligence game with a new initiative called Third Echelon. This program uses classical espionage methods, boosted by cutting-edge tech, to gather critical data from hostile territories. When traditional methods just won't cut it, Third Echelon can deploy physical operations.
Third Echelon operates in secret, using elite operatives known as Splinter Cells. These are small, highly skilled teams, often just a single field operative supported by a remote crew. They're designed to be stealthy, sharp, and almost invisible – like a sliver of glass.
The story kicks off on March 10, 2004. The CIA lost contact with Agent Alison Madison, who was investigating communication blackouts in Georgia. To find her, a second operative, Agent Blaustein, was sent into the Georgian capital, T'bilisi...
Inventory
Learn how to manage your inventory effectively in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist. This guide covers essential items and strategies for success.
This section covers the inventory items available in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist and provides a walkthrough for the "Grinko's Driver" and "The Courtyard Laser Grid" missions.
Initial Inventory:
- SC Pistol
- Laser Mic
- Optic Cable
- Lock Pick
- Disposable Pick x1
Grinko's Driver
Objective: Find Grinko's driver without setting off any alarms. Mission failure occurs if an alarm is triggered.
- 1Start on a rooftop. Rappel down the wall using the chimney. You can jump off the wall to descend faster.
- 2Enter through a window and crouch. Wait for a guard near the bookshelf to look for a book in the shadows, then incapacitate or eliminate him.
- 3Shoot out the camera above the door.
- 4Use the computer, then proceed through the door and turn right.
- 5In the next room, lean against the wall and use L3 to look out. Wait for a guard to stop in front of you and perform a headshot. Missing will alert another guard and trigger an alarm.
- 6Enter the room and incapacitate or eliminate the second guard. Hide both bodies in a dark corner as you cannot shoot out the lights.
- 7Proceed through the door on your left into a stairwell.
- 8Turn on night vision and ascend to the top floor to find a medical kit.
- 9Descend the stairs, being cautious of cameras on every second landing. Listen for their buzzing noise to detect them. Shoot them out.
- 10Pass a checkpoint at the bottom of the stairs.
- 11Open the door and shoot out the camera in front of you.
- 12In the car park, hide behind a blue car and shoot out the camera on the wall.
- 13Locate Grinko's driver (Hamlet). It is easier to sneak up on him while he is urinating in the corner and grab him. Do not kill or knock him out, as you need him to talk.
- 14Interrogate Hamlet; he will reveal Grinko's meeting with Philip Masse in the courtyard.
- 15Take Hamlet to a dark corner and knock him out.
- 16Return to the room where the two guards were earlier. Find another door, shoot out the camera above it, and enter.
- 17Use the two computers in the room.
- 18Locate an open vent, jump on the desk, and pull yourself up into the vent. This leads to a save point.
The Courtyard Laser Grid
Objective: Navigate the courtyard and bypass the laser grid.
- 1Turn on night vision to see inside the ducts.
- 2Crouch and crawl through the vent until you reach a grate overlooking a chef.
- 3Continue to the end of the vent and fall into a cold area.
- 4Crouch and move towards the door with plastic sheeting. Wait for a guard to enter and speak with the chef, then leave.
- 5Sneak in and incapacitate the chef.
- 6Open the door and either shoot or sneak up on the guard standing with his back turned. Hide his body in the dark cafeteria.
- 7Run past where the guard was and proceed to the stairs. Ignore guards asking for a colonel.
- 8At the bottom of the stairs, choose the left set of stairs.
- 9While in the middle of the stairs, look down and take out the guard standing below with a single headshot. Failing to do so will sound the alarm.
- 10Wait for the other guard to investigate the body and eliminate him, or return to the top of the stairs and eliminate him when he investigates.
- 11Hide both bodies under the stairs. Avoid the chairs and double doors, as they will trigger an alarm.
- 12Use the com.
