Team Orders

Learn to navigate the Team Orders radial menu in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands. Control active teams, set ROE, and switch soldiers with ease.

Alright, so you've been dropped into the action in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, and you're probably wondering how to get your squad moving and acting the way you want. That's where the Team Orders mode comes in. Think of it as your tactical command center, letting you micromanage your Ghosts without breaking a sweat. You access it right from the Command Map mode – just nudge the left thumbstick in any direction, and BAM! You're in the Team Orders radial menu.

This is where the magic happens. You can swap out which team is currently under your direct control, set specific Rules of Engagement (ROE) for each fireteam, and even jump straight into controlling a specific Ghost. Plus, you get a quick rundown of each soldier's status. Let's break down what you're seeing on that screen.

Active Team Indicator

See that button highlighted at the very top of your command interface? That's your Active Team Indicator. If you want to switch up who's leading the charge, just press the A button. You can cycle through controlling A Team, B Team, or even Both Teams at once. Handy for coordinating pincer movements or just keeping everyone on the same page.

Team Movement ROE Indicator

Just below the Active Team Indicator, on both the left and right sides of your screen, you'll find the Team Movement ROE Indicator. Highlight this, and you can tweak how each team moves. Pressing the A button will cycle through the available Movement ROE options. This lets you dictate whether they move cautiously, aggressively, or stick to cover, for example.

Soldier Indicator

This is your intel hub for your squad. Look to the left and right sides of the command interface, and you'll see the Soldier Indicator. It lays out crucial info for each Ghost: their name, class, current health, stance (standing, crouching, prone), and their loadout (kit). Want to take direct control of a specific Ghost? Just highlight them on this indicator and press the A button. The Ghost you're currently playing as will be highlighted, so you always know who's in the hot seat.

Team Combat ROE Indicator

Finally, down at the bottom of the command interface, also on the left and right sides, is the Team Combat ROE Indicator. Similar to the Movement ROE, highlighting this and pressing the A button lets you cycle through different Combat ROE settings. This dictates how your team engages enemies – whether they open fire on sight, hold their fire until fired upon, or have other specific engagement rules. Mastering these ROE settings is key to executing complex tactical maneuvers without alerting the entire enemy base.
