Seeing Red

Head up the hill; you will look through a squad-mate's sniper rifle lens, seeing Megamycete repelling BSAA choppers.

Head down the hill. Defeat 2 Lycans that drop down using your Dragoon auto-rifle.

Continue down and defeat another wave of three Lycans, followed by a final wave of 2.

Enter the hole in the wall and head to the green smoke to replenish ammo.

Equip Flash Grenades. Pass through the gate where more Megamycete will burst from the ground, bringing Varcolacs.

Drop a Flash Grenade and kill one Varcolac, then repeat for the other.

Head down until your team mentions a supply drop. A chest with green smoke is to your right, but Megamycete blocks the path.

Instead, head left for another green smoke crate and collect ammo.

Head back out and further down. Enter the door directly in front of you, not the one to the left.

Defeat 2 Lycans in the dark using your night vision.

Next, face archer-type enemies supporting ground waves of several Lycans. Take out the archers first.

You now have 2 Med Injectors that completely cure all damage.

At the fork where enemies appeared, turn right to a green smoke crate for more ammo.

Head back and kill the archer on the roof, then turn right.

This wave contains an armoured Lycan. Use your assault rifle or toss a grenade while reloading.

Keep heading forward into the area with the Maiden of War Statue.

Fight a large wave of Lycans, including an archer at the top. Run in circles around the statue, turning to kill, reloading, and repeating. Save the archer for last.

Equip the laser pointer, aim it at the Megamycete, and hold R2. This takes several seconds and cannot be done in combat.

Repeat this process 2 more times, as the Megamycete requires 3 strikes to be destroyed.

Look back the way you came to ascend a small hill for another crate and ammo. There is an explosive barrel; do not use it yet.

When 2 armoured Lycans appear, shoot them and kill them while they are down.

Repeat the pattern of hitting the Megamycete for the 3rd and final time. It will be destroyed, allowing entry into the hole it occupied.

Head down into the pit, grab nearby ammo, and prepare for a boss fight.

Run away and keep your distance from the invulnerable Urias, chipping away with gunfire or grenades while waiting for your Air Strike to recharge.

Put distance between yourself and Urias, then target him. It takes at least 2 Air Strikes to take him down.

Claim his Giant Crystal Mace.

Head further down to the giant heart in the center of the Megamycete.

After the scene, head right towards the mist. In the center, very hard to see, is a Goat of Warding on the ground at the back of the area.

Head past the Heart and up the stone stairs to enter Miranda's Lab.

Collect the following items: Dimitrescu's Medical Report (File), Donna's Medical Report (File), Moreau's Medical Report (File), Heisenberg's Medical Report (File), Letter From Spencer File (File), Miranda’s Diary (File), and some photos.

When ready to confront Miranda, head to the padlocked cell, slash it open, and proceed. Watch the scene.

Visit the Duke to save the game, sell treasure, and buy supplies. Additional supplies are nearby.

In her normal, humanoid form, Miranda floats and attacks with slashing sweeps and projects Megamycete waves. She also spins with her wings. Maintain distance.

When she transforms into a big, arachnid-like creature, she moves quickly and uses her legs to stab. She hops rapidly and has a jumping attack; sprint left or right to avoid it.

In her third form, she is in the air, swooping down and performing spinning attacks if you are too close. Do not stay still.

If she summons bright yellow orbs, they will rain down; run away.

When she turns into a giant ball of glowing light and shoots projectiles, get behind the large Megamycete tendrils that rise from the ground for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects).

Eventually, the screen will go dark, making it difficult to see Miranda as she appears and slashes.
