Learn how to plow and cultivate fields in Supermarket Simulator. This guide covers tractor controls, plow operation, and tips for preparing your land for planting.

Before you can plant anything, you first have to prepare the field. Hop into your tractor and hook up the plow to the back. Plowing and cultivating are equal in the game; you must do one or the other, or both. For this example, we will use the plow.

Drive out to the field and position your tractor on one of the corners, parallel to its edge. Drive forward onto the field until the plow is just over it. Select the plow with the 'G' key if it's not already selected.

Make sure the plow's end points away from the edge of the field, if not, turn it over using the 'B' key. Lower the plow with the 'V' key and slowly start driving forward, parallel to the edge of the field to create a straight line. Do not drive too fast, or the plow will fall off. Use the first gear of the Cruise Control (press the '1' key) to maintain an optimal speed, allowing you to focus on steering. The tractor may swerve slightly, so keep it straight. When you reach the end of the field, stop and lift the plow (V). Turn around and position the tractor to plow the next row just beside the strip you plowed. Turn the plow over to point in the opposite direction (B).

Lower the plow again and drive slowly (Cruise Control 1). Try to stay close to the strip you already plowed. You can check your progress by zooming out and tilting the camera down to see the plow and the strip behind you. Avoid leaving unplowed tracks between your strips; go back and correct any mistakes after finishing the field. Repeat this process until the entire field is plowed edge to edge. Don't worry about minor imperfections like bent lines or unplowed patches; you will improve with practice. You can smooth out the sawtooth-like unplowed spots left on the edges by plowing a strip on the perpendicular edges of the field.
