Navigate the Light Realm in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Discover key locations, unlock paths by activating switches, and find fighters and spirits to defeat Galeem.

Our ultimate goal is to defeat Galeem and restore the universe. At this stage however we cannot even approach Galeem! We must first defeat the bosses throughout The Light Realm to weaken the shield that protects it.

At the beginning of the adventure you are forced to stay on the left side of the map by a wall of light blocking the path. This line can be seen through the center of the map on the image above. It stems down from Magicant (the pink cloud), through the Fissure (that's where we need to cross the bridge to access the rest of the map) and then into the Ocean. To remove the light we need to head to the Temple of Light. The portal surrounded by ice in the top left corner of the map is where the Temple of Light is. To reach the portal the pink, blue and green barriers blocking the entrance need to be removed first. This can be done by activating the switches in Lover's Pond, Rapids and Kongo Falls.

Two bosses are also on the left side of the map. We need to enter the portals within the Rapids (leading to Molten Fortress) and the Base (Outside) in order to weaken Galeem's shield. The final boss can be found on the right side of the map. It will pay off to explore all the surrounding areas to gain new fighters, spirits, treasures and the spirits needed to overcome obstacles. The Key Locations table below outlines what is in each area (divided into the left and right sides of the fissure). Names in red are fighters in need of saving, the names in blue are spirits which have the capability to overcome obstacles and the words in green are the obstacles you must overcome. Clicking on these names will bring you to the section of the guide which has a more in-depth description on what you need to do.

The Light Realm (Left Side)

Starting Area
The Great Plateau

Kirby has crash landed on a hill that strangely resembles the Great Plateau from The Legend of Zelda Series. Lets start our adventure to save the universe by heading down the hill. After defeating the three spirits below you'll arrive at a crossroad where an important decision will have to be made.

Crossroad
Once you've made it down the hill in the starting area you'll be at the entrance to the Crossroad. As the name implies it consists of four paths. After defeating both Mario and Guardian you can choose to battle either Marth, Sheik or Villager. The other paths will then be blocked off by Master Hand. So choose carefully which fighter you want on your team. The paths can be unblocked so don't stress too much. To remove the barrier you'll have to defeat a boss in one of the boss portals. You can also approach the fighter from the opposite side by navigating through other areas. If you chose the Leftward Path you'll end up at Mushroom Valley. The North Path leads to both Dream Land and East Town whereas the Rightward Path leads to the Great Plateau Tower and Figure-8 Circuit.

Dream Land
If you chose the northern path at the Crossroad you'll quickly spot a waterfall after beating Metal Sonic. Heading up the path beside it will take you into Dream Land. It can also be accessed from Woolly World or Retro Console City. This area is filled with trees and greenery. Near the center is a lake covered in stars and a river that forms the waterfall. The river can be crossed at the top of the waterfall or further up past the lake. If you approach the bridge above the waterfall however a Master Hand puppet will break it. This is no good as Jigglypuff is trapped on the other side and no other path reaches this eastern area. To reach Jigglypuff we'll have to repair it. The nearby spirit Bord & Cord & Barst can repair broken bridges. As shown on the map below they are just before the still functioning bridge further up the river past the lake. Once you've defeated Jigglypuff the bushes near Jigglypuff will disappear creating an alternative path back to the northern area. In the northern area there is a stone face statue sitting against a wall. Step into its mouth to enter the Woolly World area on the other side of the wall. The path heading west is blocked by a white gate. It can be unlocked once you've visited Retro Console City on the opposite side. Just press the Red Switch below it.

East Town
East Town is straight above the Figure-8 Circuit. Heading right on the north path at the beginning crossroads will also reach the town. An electric gate blocks the eastern entrance from the Figure-8 Circuit however. It cannot be opened as it is receiving no power. Heading to the Power Plant in the Reset Bomb Forest can restore its power when you complete the challenge inside. East Town
