Objectives: Destroy Kabuto's OFFSPRING by shooting at the WEAK SPOT on their stomachs.
Gordon and Bennett have messed things up. Order your Meccs to attack the Offspring to keep them busy. Head to the guard tower in front of your starting position and snipe at the Offspring's weak spot on their stomachs. Three or four shots from the Sniper Gun should suffice. Alternatively, head to the pit where the Offspring are and Machine Gun them, ensuring you hit their stomachs. Beware of their spinning attack, which deals almost half your health, and their green flame attack. Keep the Offspring focused on the Meccs by re-issuing attack orders periodically while you snipe.
E.4.c. Gordon & Bennett's Dilemma
Objectives: Fight your way to the FORTRESS and find GORDON and BENNETT.
Check your map; the Fortress is on another island. The sea is too wide to cross with your Jetpack, so visit the Gift Shop next to Borjoyzzee to get the Jetpack Upgrade. Head to the island closest to yours (not the one with the Fortress). Take out the sniper in the tower, climb the hill, and eliminate the four Ripper Husks. Fly to the farthest side of the island and destroy the homing missile turret and the sniper on the tower. Carefully make your way to the next island, sniping turrets and the sniper before landing. Visit the Gift Shop for health if needed. Destroy the remaining turrets and Reaper Guards, then head towards the Fortress. Check for any remaining turrets around the Fortress perimeter and fly from the top of the hill in front of the platform to reach it more easily. Walk inside the Fortress to finish the mission.
Alternative Method (No Bullets Fired): Take the Jetpack Upgrade at the start. Fly directly towards the Fortress island. You will fall into the sea; swim until your Jetpack recharges, then fly again. Evade homing missiles on the island and head straight for the Fortress platform. The mission is complete.
E.5.a. The Charger
Objectives: Kill the CHARGER to secure your Base Building Area.
You start just outside the Charger's area. Ignore the Charger for now and focus on killing the Rippers with your four buddies. Then, turn to the Charger. Set the Meccs on it and position yourself in the middle of the area. Wait for it to stop running in circles and move to the center to charge. Move backward to intercept its course. Wait for it to open its mouth and shoot inside. A Missile Launcher takes two shots, the Sniper Gun takes two or three, and the Handgun requires many shots.
E.5.b. The Battle!
Objectives: 1. Gather SMARTIES and VIMP MEAT. 2. BUILD A BASE. 3. Use the POP-UP BOMB created by your Smarties to destroy the enemy ARMY BARRACKS.
This is the final mission of the Mecc campaign. Start by surveying the area. You begin in the middle of the area where the Charger was.
