The User Interface (UI) in Sonic Mania is clean and provides all the essential information you need without cluttering the screen. Here's what you'll typically see:

• Rings: Displayed in the top-left corner. Collecting 100 rings grants an extra life. Losing rings is your primary defense against damage.
• Time: Located in the top-right. Each Act has a 10-minute time limit. Exceeding it results in a Game Over.
• Score: Shown below the time. Earn points by defeating enemies, collecting rings, and completing acts quickly.
• Lives: Indicated by a character icon and a number. Lose all lives, and it's Game Over.
• Special Stage Rings: When you collect 25 rings, a star icon appears, indicating you can enter a Special Stage if you find a giant ring.
