Complete Siren: Blood Curse's special tasks to unlock archive files. Learn how to find items like the Can Opener, Floodgate Valve, and Hanuda Beetle.

These special tasks are used to unlock an archive file later chapters. There are only 6 archive files in this release of Siren that must be unlocked through performing a certain task. You must perform the tasks as listed in order to gain access to the unlockable file in a later chapter. If the tasks are not performed then your way to the unlockable file will be blocked by some sort of means - door that is locked, cutscene that will not play, etc. The task performed will be saved onto your main memory at that instant, so you do not have to perform it gain even if you die or exit back to the title screen shortly after performing it. Basically, you don't have to finish a chapter to keep credit for performing the required tasks.

1. 01 -- CAN OPENER
   Unlocks: Archive file in Episode 7, Chapter 4
   Location: East Shaft Upper Level (Pumping Station)
   In the Miner Office, interact with the phone and dial "508". A Shibito in the upstairs mine will unlock the previously locked door and answer the phone and you'll hear him on your end of the phone. When you move up to the top of the mine (East Shaft Upper Level) finish off the Shibito in front of the elevator shaft by knocking him into the shaft then enter the room (Pumping Station) through the open door on the left. This item will be on the shelf to the left as you enter the Pumping Station room.
2. 02 -- FLOODGATE VALVE
   Unlocks: Archive file in Episode 6, Chapter 4.
   Location: Episode 3, Chapter 4
   After pushing down the tree to make a bridge, step across it then you'll come to a split path. Take the right path with stairs and defeat the shibito that roams the path. There is another path on the side of the path that you just moved down. Walk down the new path to find a valve handle on a device. Interact with the valve handle to turn it and lower the floodgate in order to unlock the archive item.
3. 03 -- DESTROY BOWL OF NOODLES IN THE KARIBNA NOODLE SHOP
   Unlocks: Archive file in Episode 7, Chapter 2
   Location: Episode 4, Chapter 2
   While on the Lookout Tower with Seigo, quickly shoot the shibito that attacks Sam then climb down the ladder and defeat the flying shibito. Run all the way over to the Karibna Noodle Shop. Seigo must make it to the noodle shop before the policeman shibito eats the bowl of noodles. Walk over to the bowl of noodle and be sure to collect the Hanumen Noodles archive file then aim your gun at the bowl of noodles and shoot the bowl to destroy it and fulfill the requirements for an archive file in Episode 7, Chapter 2.
4. 04 -- OBTAIN PUMPING STATION KEY, ACTIVATE WATER PUMP
   Unlocks: Archive file in Episode 11, Chapter 2.
   Location: Episode 8, Chapter 2
   During the first gameplay portion with Sol, while exiting the lower portion of the mines after knocking out the female shibito with your trusty camera, enter the last corridor to the north, beside the ladder that you need to climb to get to the second floor portion of the mines, and you'll find a shibito that is drinking. Sneak up behind him and hit him with the camera to activate a special kill. Pick up each of the sake bottles in that area and move with each of them in hand until you hear a slight jingling sound. Once you hear it, hit the bottle against a wall to break it then pick up the Pumping Station Key.
   Once you are given control of Sol once again, after the Sam gameplay portion, move out of the elevator and unlock the door to the Pumping Station off to the right, outside the elevator. Run to the back right of the Pumping Station room then choose to drain the water at the controls and this will drain the blood pool below and unlock an archive file in Episode 11, Chapter 2.
5. 05 -- TURN VALVE HANDLE ON ROOFTOP THEN COLLECT KEY IN COURTYARD
   Unlocks: Archive file in Episode 12, Chapter 2
   Location: Episode 8, Chapter 4.
   At the very beginning of this chapter, tell Bella to wait on the third floor then take Staircase A up to the roof. Climb the nearby crate and step onto the roof portion with the Water Tank. Turn the valve on the Water Tank then continue through the chapter like normal.
   Once you pull the parking sign away from the front of the sliding doors after the power has been turn on, have Bella follow Melissa to the outside courtyard of the hospital. Lead Bella over to the gated area to the right of the Employee Staircase. A cutscene will play where Bella will find a key in a drainage opening and this will unlock the method for obtaining an archive item in Episode 12, Chapter 2.
6. 06 -- COLLECT HANUDA BEETLE
   Unlocks: Archive file in Episode 11, Chapter 4
   Location: Episode 10, Chapter 2
   (Note: You must get archive file #40 in the same game along with #41 since #40 is required to get this #41. If you die before getting #41, then you must collect #40 again.)
   Once outside of the Ito House, run over to the Detached Room on the west side of the area then open the sliding door and pick up the !!CLOSET KEY!! from the drawer off to the left after you enter the building. Run back toward the "Entrance" of the Ito House as labeled on the map and stand in front of the doorbell for a "Ring Doorbell" command.
