Act 1: The Forsaken Village

• Hidden Shrine Alcove (Stage 1-1)
  • Location: Approximately halfway through the stage, after you defeat the first group of three Spear Guards and cross a small wooden bridge. Look for a large, moss-covered rock formation on the right side of the screen.
  • Walkthrough: Instead of continuing right, perform a wall jump off the rock formation. You'll notice a faint discoloration in the rock face above. Jump and attack this section repeatedly with your Katana or Shurikens. After a few hits, a small alcove will open.
  • Reward: Inside, you'll find a Ninjitsu Scroll: Fire Dragon, granting you access to the powerful Fire Dragon Ninjitsu, and a Large Health Potion.
• Collapsed Well Passage (Stage 1-2)
  • Location: Near the end of the stage, just before the boss arena. You'll pass a dilapidated well with a broken wooden cover.
  • Walkthrough: Approach the well and stand directly on top of the broken cover. Perform a downward strike (Jump + Down + Attack) to smash through the rotten wood. You will fall into a hidden underground passage.
  • Reward: This passage leads to a small chamber containing Two Extra Lives and a Shuriken Pouch (Max), fully replenishing your shuriken count. Be wary of a single Shadow Assassin guarding the exit.

Act 2: The Bamboo Forest

• Ancient Tree Hollow (Stage 2-1)
  • Location: After navigating the first series of swinging bamboo platforms, you'll land on a solid ground section with a towering, ancient bamboo tree in the background.
  • Walkthrough: Inspect the base of the ancient tree. There's a subtle crack in the trunk. Use your Katana to strike this crack repeatedly. It will eventually splinter, revealing a narrow opening. Crawl through by holding Down and moving forward.
  • Reward: This tight squeeze leads to a secluded area with a Ninjitsu Scroll: Shadow Clone, allowing you to create a temporary decoy, and a Chakra Orb, which fully restores your Ninjitsu energy.
• Waterfall Cavern (Stage 2-3)
  • Location: During the section with the cascading waterfalls and slippery rocks. Look for the largest waterfall on the right side of the screen.
  • Walkthrough: Carefully jump onto the small, mossy ledge directly in front of the waterfall. From there, perform a precise double jump *into* the waterfall itself. The water will part, revealing a hidden cave entrance.
  • Reward: The Waterfall Cavern houses a challenging gauntlet of Water Elementals, but successfully navigating it will grant you a Mystic Talisman (reduces Ninjitsu cost by 25%) and a Full Health Restore.

Act 3: The Mountain Stronghold

• Crumbling Wall Niche (Stage 3-1)
  • Location: Early in the stage, after encountering the first armored Samurai. You'll reach a section with a high wall and a single, precarious wooden beam extending from it.
  • Walkthrough: Instead of jumping across the beam, look closely at the wall directly above the beam's attachment point. There's a section of discolored, crumbling masonry. Use your Shurikens to chip away at this section. After several hits, a small niche will open.
  • Reward: Inside, you'll find a Scroll of Swiftness, granting a temporary movement speed boost, and a Bag of Gold (Large), providing a significant currency boost for upgrades.
• Underground Armory (Stage 3-2)
  • Location: After the first encounter with the Flame Thrower enemies, you'll cross a large, open courtyard. On the far side, there's a seemingly solid stone wall.
  • Walkthrough: Approach the center of this stone wall. You'll notice a faint outline of a door. This door is sealed by a pressure plate. To activate it, you need to lure one of the heavy Armored Brutes (the large enemies with hammers) onto the section of ground directly in front of the wall. Once the Brute is positioned, the door will slowly grind open.
  • Reward: The Underground Armory contains a Katana Upgrade Fragment (collect three to upgrade your Katana's damage) and a Ninjitsu Scroll: Lightning Strike, a powerful area-of-effect attack.
