Shinobi: Art of Vengeance offers a suite of demanding post-game challenges designed to test your mastery of every Ninjitsu skill, your precision in platforming, and your strategic combat prowess. Prepare to push your limits and earn ultimate bragging rights!

Shadow Gauntlet Trials

These are a series of timed, no-hit challenges across remixed versions of familiar levels. Success in each trial unlocks exclusive cosmetic rewards and a permanent stat boost.

• Trial of the Silent Blade (Hagane Village Remixed):
  • Objective: Clear Hagane Village (Stage 1-1) in under 1 minute and 30 seconds without taking any damage.
  • Strategy: Focus on aggressive use of the Shadow Dash to bypass groups of weaker enemies like Ashigaru Grunts. use the Shuriken Storm Ninjitsu at choke points to clear multiple foes quickly. The key is memorizing enemy placement and optimizing your movement. Look for the hidden Smoke Bomb pickup near the waterfall section to create an opening for a quick dash past the Heavy Armor Samurai.
  • Reward: "Phantom Stride" cosmetic outfit (reduces detection range by 10%) and a permanent +5% movement speed bonus.
• Trial of the Iron Fist (Kageyama Fortress Remixed):
  • Objective: Defeat all enemies in Kageyama Fortress (Stage 3-2) using only melee attacks, without taking damage.
  • Strategy: This trial demands perfect parry timing and precise Kunai Slash combos. The Elite Ronin enemies here have faster attack patterns. Use the Iron Skin Ninjitsu defensively if you anticipate a hit, but remember it doesn't count as "no damage" if activated. Prioritize taking out ranged enemies like Archer Sentinels first. A hidden Health Potion can be found behind a breakable wall in the main courtyard, but using it will disqualify you from the no-damage objective.
  • Reward: "Steel Resolve" cosmetic gauntlets (increases melee damage by 10%) and a permanent +5% melee damage bonus.

Mastery Scrolls Collection

Scattered throughout the world are 10 new, extremely well-hidden Mastery Scrolls. Each scroll unlocks a unique, powerful passive ability that can drastically alter your playstyle. Finding all 10 is a true test of exploration and puzzle-solving.

• Scroll of the Swift Wind:
  • Location: Deep within the Whispering Caves (Stage 2-3), accessed by a hidden path revealed only after activating three pressure plates in the correct sequence. The sequence is etched faintly on the cave wall near the entrance: Top, Bottom, Middle.
  • Effect: Grants a chance for shurikens to pierce through one additional enemy.
• Scroll of the Unseen Blade:
  • Location: In the final boss arena of Mount Fuji Summit (Stage 5-3), after defeating the final boss again. A new platform will appear in the top-right corner, accessible only by a perfectly timed Wall Jump and Air Dash combination.
  • Effect: Increases critical hit chance for all attacks by 5%.
• Scroll of the Dragon's Breath:
  • Location: Found in the Forgotten Shrine (Stage 4-1), behind a destructible statue that requires 5 consecutive Explosive Kunai hits to break.
  • Effect: Your Ninjitsu abilities now have a small chance to inflict a burn status effect on enemies.

Endless Onslaught Mode

Accessible from the main menu after completing the game, Endless Onslaught is a survival mode where you face increasingly difficult waves of enemies. Your goal is to survive as long as possible and achieve the highest score.

• Gameplay: Waves escalate in enemy count, type, and aggression. Every 5 waves, a mini-boss from the main campaign will appear. Every 10 waves, a full boss battle will occur.
• Scoring: Points are awarded for defeating enemies, maintaining a combo streak, and completing waves quickly. Taking damage reduces your score multiplier.
• Rewards:
  • Wave 25: Unlocks the "Legendary Shinobi" title for your profile.
  • Wave 50: Grants access to the "Ancient Katana" weapon, which has slightly higher base damage and a unique visual effect.
  • Wave 100: Unlocks the "True Master" cosmetic armor set, providing no stat bonuses but serving as the ultimate symbol of your skill.
• Tips: Prioritize upgrading your Health Potion Capacity and Ninjitsu Power in the skill tree before attempting this mode. The Art of the Phoenix Ninjitsu (revives you once per run) is invaluable for pushing further.
