Crafting Your First Tools and Weapons — SCUM Guide

Craft essential tools and weapons in SCUM: Stone Knife, Stone Axe, Wooden Spear, and Improvised Bow. Gather resources effectively.

Crafting is fundamental to survival in SCUM. Open your inventory (Tab) and navigate to the crafting tab. Your first essential crafts are:

• Stone Knife: 2x Small Stone. Used for cutting, skinning, and basic crafting.
• Stone Axe: 1x Stone, 1x Stick. Used for chopping wood, breaking down objects, and as a basic weapon.
• Wooden Spear: 1x Long Stick. An excellent early-game melee weapon and can be thrown.
• Improvised Bow: 1x Long Stick, 1x Rope (crafted from rags or plant fiber). Requires arrows (crafted from small sticks and feathers).

Gathering resources like small stones, sticks, and plant fiber is crucial. Look for bushes to harvest plant fiber, which can be turned into rope. Practice crafting to improve your skills, which will unlock more complex recipes.
