Learn wall running, multi-jumping, landing rolls, life bar management, and combat techniques in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Part 7.
Walkthrough
- 1Running Against Walls: Find a flat wall with no cracks, indentations, or decorations. Hold R1 and run at an angle against the wall. The Prince should run upwards. Press X to jump in the opposite direction before completing the run. You can slash your sword while doing this.
- 2Multi-Jumping: After jumping onto a wall, during the brief moment the Prince sticks to it (the Chameleon Stall), press X as soon as he hits the wall to jump back in the direction you came from. If another wall is present, you can repeat the Chameleon Stall and jump again. This allows access to high and hard-to-reach places.
- 3Landing Rolls: After a high jump, press the Analog Stick in the direction you are falling just before landing. This absorbs fall force and reduces damage to nil. Falling from extreme heights (e.g., 12 storeys) will still result in death.
- 4Life Bar and Injuries: Your life bar is located in the top-left corner of the screen, indicated by a blue line. Injuries decrease your life bar; when it depletes, you die. If you have the Time Dagger, you can rewind time using the checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) meter. Damage varies based on the source of injury and fall height.
- 5Replenishing Life: Instead of potions, drink from fountains, ponds, rivers, and baths by walking up to them and pressing R1. Hold R1 to drink continuously. This replenishes your life bar.
- 6Life Extending Fountains (LEF): Secret fountains found in hard-to-find places permanently increase your life gauge. Collect all of them to maximize your life gauge.
- 7En Garde Stance and Attacks: This stance activates when you meet an enemy. The Prince raises his sword (and dagger, if obtained), and normal attacks are replaced by stance-specific moves.
- 8Guarding: Hold R1 to block attacks from above. Ground sweeps cannot be blocked.
- 9Evade Roll: Press X in a direction to roll away. Rolling backward performs a backflip. This can be comboed into an attack.
- 10Counterattack: While blocking, press the attack button (Square) or dagger button (Triangle) to perform a counterattack (e.g., a kick).
- 11Counter-Retrieve: While blocking and clashing with an opponent's attacks, press the Triangle button to instantly retrieve sand from the opponent if unblocked.
- 12Jumping Attacks: In the En Garde stance, jumping attacks must be comboed out of a standing attack.
- 13Rebound Attacks: In the En Garde stance, run up a wall, jump, and attack to perform a flying attack towards the enemy.
- 14Rollover/Vault Attacks: Walk up to an enemy and press X to perform an overhead flip over their head, leaving them open. This may not work on all enemies. Example combo: Roll over enemy, X, Square.
- 15Multi-Attack: When fighting multiple enemies, after the first hit, hold the Left Analog Stick in a desired direction and mash the Square button. The Prince will rush and combo into a slash/kick.
