Complete walkthrough for the Striaton Gym in Pokemon TCG Live, including puzzle solutions, leader strategies, and rewards like the Trio Badge and TM83 Work Up.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Upon entering the gym, which resembles a restaurant, you will receive a FRESH WATER (restores 50 HP).
  2. 2
Solve the quiz puzzle by observing the curtain's design and stepping on the circle that represents the element weak to the type shown on the curtain. For the first curtain, step on the Water circle on the right, as Fire is weak to Water.
  3. 3
In the next room, you will battle a Waiter with a Lillipup (L11).
  4. 4
After the battle, step on the grass switch on the left to open the water curtain.
  5. 5
Continue forward to battle a waitress who has a Patrat (L10) and a Purrloin (L10).
  6. 6
Step on the fire switch in the middle to open the final curtain.
  7. 7
Proceed forward to find Cilan. You will learn there are three Gym Leaders: Pod (Fire), Cress (Water), and Cilan (Grass). You will battle the leader whose type your starter Pokemon is weak against.
  8. 8
It is recommended to heal and save your game before challenging the leader.
  9. 9
Challenge the Gym Leader. The rewards for victory are $1680, TM83 Work Up, and the Trio Badge.
  10. 10
You will battle Lillipup (Lv. 12) first, regardless of the leader.
  11. 11
Then, you will battle the leader's specific Pokemon: Pansear (Lv. 14) for Pod, Panpour (Lv. 14) for Cress, or Pansage (Lv. 14) for Cilan.
  12. 12
Be aware that all Pokemon have the move Work Up, which raises Attack and Special Attack. Lillipup's Bite can be dangerous after several Work Up boosts.
  13. 13
The leader's Pokemon also have Work Up and a basic elemental move. If facing the monkey Pokemon, using your own starter of the same type will result in super-effective damage while they deal not very effective damage.
  14. 14
The leader may use one Potion.
  15. 15
Upon winning, you receive the Trio Badge, which makes all Pokemon up to Level 20 obey you, and TM83 Work Up. TMs in this game have infinite uses.
  16. 16
    Exit the gym.
  17. 17
Outside Striaton City, a woman will take you to her house and give you HM01 Cut. HMs are permanently taught to a Pokemon unless removed by a move deleter.
  18. 18
Talk to Amanita, Fennel's assistant, next to the PC to change "Somebody's PC" to "Amanita's PC".
  19. 19
    Return to the Dreamyard.
  20. 20
In the Dreamyard, cut down the tree blocking your path with HM01 Cut.
  21. 21
Bianca will appear and talk to you. Follow her into the area.
  22. 22
Head north to find a Munna. It will run and be cornered by two Team Plasma grunts. Defeat them.
  23. 23
After the grunts flee, a Musharna (Munna's evolution) appears. Fennel will also appear, take the dropped Dream Mist, and leave.
  24. 24
Collect any remaining items in the Dreamyard.
Tips
  • The FRESH WATER given at the start is useful for healing.
  • There is no penalty for answering the gym quiz incorrectly.
  • Lillipup's main threat is Work Up, so defeat it quickly.
  • Using your starter Pokemon against the leader's elemental monkey Pokemon is highly effective due to type advantage.
  • TM83 Work Up has infinite uses, so teach it to suitable Pokemon.
  • HM01 Cut is required to progress in the Dreamyard and is permanently taught to a Pokemon.
