Alright, so we're at Part 22. This is it, the final push. All those crazy experiments and terrifying encounters have led to this moment. We're talking about Billy Hope, the Walrider, the Swarm – whatever you want to call that monstrous entity. The goal is simple, though: find Billy, and end this nightmare. It's not going to be easy, but we've come this far, right?

NOTE #29: BILLY'S HOPE

You'll learn that Billy is only twenty-three, but man, he looks like he's lived a hundred hard years. The pain is etched all over him. Honestly, putting him out of his misery would be a mercy at this point.

NOTE #30: LIFE SUPPORT

This is where things get really messed up. You're looking at Billy's life support system – his lungs, his liver, everything keeping him alive. It's a machine the size of a football stadium, all for one guy. It's a twisted monument to the experiments, and it all needs to come down. He has to die for this to end.

NOTE #31: DEATH OF HOPE

And then, it happens. Billy is dead. With him gone, the Walrider, the Swarm, whatever it was, it's unmade. Whether you make it out of Mount Massive Asylum alive or not, you're finally free from its grip.

Trophies in Outlast

Now, let's talk about wrapping things up and getting those sweet, sweet trophies. These apply across PS4, Xbox, and PC, so no matter what you're playing on, you can aim for these.

• Illuminated (Bronze): Restore power to the Administrative Block. This is tied to the story, so you can't miss it.
• Flushed (Bronze): Drain the Sewers. Another story-related trophy, so it'll pop naturally.
• Soaked (Bronze): Activate the sprinklers in the Male Ward. Yep, you guessed it – story-related, can't miss it.
• Emancipated (Bronze): Collect the key in the Female Ward. You'll get this as you progress through the story.
• Educated (Silver): Collect 15 documents and complete 15 recordings. If you're going for collectibles, this is a good mid-game milestone. There are 31 documents and 31 recordings in total, so hitting 15 of each means you're about halfway through your collection quest.
• Punished (Silver): Finish the game. This is the big one, the story completion trophy. You'll get it just by playing through to the end.
