You're not just playing the game; you're crafting your legacy by creating your own team and even snagging real NHL players to join your ranks. Once your dream team is assembled, you can take them all the way to winning the Midway Cup, the Stanley Cup, or just mess around in Exhibition mode. Let's get this team built!

To get your custom team rolling, you'll be using a few key options:

• Name: This is pretty straightforward. You'll use the D-pad (Up, Down, Left, Right) to highlight each letter you want, and then hit the A button to select it. Just keep repeating that until you've spelled out the name of your awesome new team.
• Stadium: Here's where you pick your home turf. Use the D-pad Up or Down to cycle through the available Arenas. If you've been grinding and unlocked some cool new arenas in the Hockey Shop, they'll be available here too.
• Logo: The logo is more than just a graphic; it actually changes your team's uniforms. Use the D-pad Up or Down to scroll through the logos until you find one that screams 'your team.'
• Hot Spot: This is a neat little feature that can really boost your offense. A Hot Spot is basically an area on the ice where your chances of scoring a goal go way up. You'll use the D-pad (Up, Down, Left, or Right) to move a green circle around the ice and designate your preferred scoring zone. Pick wisely!
• Trade: This is where you build your roster. If you've earned enough Attribute Points, you can use this option to draft players onto your team. Be warned, though: NHL players are pretty expensive, so you might have to play for a bit to rack up enough Attribute Points to afford them. But once you do, you can pick any NHL player you want. Go ahead and create that powerhouse team you've always imagined! To pick a player, press the A button on an empty player slot, then use the D-pad Left or Right to choose a team. Once you're viewing a team's roster, use the D-pad Up or Down to highlight the player you want, and then press A to select them. Just repeat this for all the slots to get your perfect lineup.
