Learn the default NHL 24 controls for offense and defense, including button layouts for Xbox controllers and advanced moves like fake shots.

These are the default controls for NHL 24. You can change them at the Options menu. Any buttons on the Xbox controller that are not mentioned are not used in the game.

Offense:

1. Left Thumbstick - Move Player
2. A Button - Pass
3. B Button - Guard Puck
4. X Button - Shoot
5. Y Button - Deke-Spin
6. Right Trigger - Turbo (Hold)
7. Start Button - Pause Game
8. White Button - Crowd Cheers
9. Black Button - Crowd Boos

Defense:

1. Left Thumbstick - Move Player
2. A Button - Select Player
3. B Button - Body Check
4. X Button - Stick Check
5. Y Button - Deke-Spin
6. Right Trigger - Turbo (Hold)
7. Start Button - Pause Game
8. White Button - Crowd Cheers

Advanced Controls:

1. Fake Shot - Hold Shoot, then press Guard Puck
2. Fake Shot, Pass - Hold down Shoot, then press Pass
3. One-Timer - Press Pass, then Shoot
4. Fake Shot, Pass, One-Timer - Hold down Shoot, then Pass, then Shoot
