The main things you'll be keeping an eye on are Liquid Nacre and your Energy. Liquid Nacre is what you'll be picking up as you explore and defeat enemies. It's pretty volatile, though – if you die, you lose whatever Liquid Nacre you're carrying. So, the first big tip is to try and convert it into Solid Nacre whenever you get the chance.

You can do this at special conversion robots scattered around The Vessel. Solid Nacre is permanent; it sticks with you even after you meet an untimely end. This is crucial for making permanent upgrades and ensuring you don't lose all your hard-earned currency.

Your Energy is tied to your movement abilities, specifically the Hairpin Grapple.
