Part 8 of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon covers the Kitchen, Library, and Dining Room, and begins Mission A-5: Sticky Situation.
Walkthrough
- 1In the Kitchen, defeat the green and blue ghosts. Check drawers for hearts and gold. Go west to the Library.
- 2In the Library (1F), go west and use the Dark-Light (a special flashlight that reveals hidden objects) to reveal a globe. Suck it onto your vacuum, then launch it with the L Button to break it and release a gem.
- 3Return to the Kitchen and go east. Pull down the red and yellow string with your vacuum to reveal the dumbwaiter. Enter the dumbwaiter.
- 4In the Dining Room, a Boo will appear and shoot Spirit Balls (ghostly projectiles) that make items disappear. Use the Dark-Light to reveal the table.
- 5The Boo will become angry. Use the Dark-Light to find the Boo, likely by following its trail. The Dark-Light will stun it. Vacuum its tongue, build up the Power Gauge (a meter that shows how much energy your vacuum has), and release it to attack. The first Poltergust upgrade (an upgrade to your vacuum cleaner) should defeat the Boo in one hit. Suck the Boo into your vacuum.
- 6After defeating the Boo, E. Gadd will call and instruct you to leave. Completing this mission unlocks ScareScraper (a multiplayer mode).
- 7You will be zapped into the Entrance and then proceed to the Garage for Mission A-5: Sticky Situation, which requires cleaning up 47 webs.
- 8In the Garage, suck up all visible spider-webs. You should collect six webs. Go east and north to the Guard Hall.
- 9In the Guard Hall, suck up ten webs. Go north to the Foyer, then southeast to the Coatroom.
- 10In the Coatroom, continue sucking up webs. Pay attention to the roof and the area with the still-flowing shower. You will collect 14 webs here. Go west to the Foyer and west to the Common Hall.
- 11In the Common Hall, go to the room in the northwest.
- 12In the Studio, defeat the Greenies (small, green ghosts). Return to the Foyer, go upstairs, and exit to the northwest.
- 13In the Master Hall, suck up webs. A candle will fall, burning another web. Vacuum the uvula-shaped object on the roof and bring it to the fallen candle to light it. Do the same with the fallen web ball and shoot it northward with your vacuum to clear more webs. You should have 27/47 webs cleared after this area. Go northwest to the Bedroom.
- 14In the Bedroom, clear the minor webs. Open the oven to the west to light a fire, then spin the fan to light a web on it. The northeastern web will also be lit. This clears the room, bringing your total to 21/44 webs. Behind the paneling, find a mushroom-shaped gemstone.
- 15Backtrack to the Foyer, then go north to the Lobby.
- 16In the Lobby, defeat the two Hider ghosts. Use the Dark-Light on the east wall to reveal a door and exit to the balcony.
- 17On the Balcony, suck up the webs, especially the top-left one. Activate the grille nearby by using the Strobulb (a light attachment for your vacuum) on it. This lights a fire. Bring the uliva-shaped spider-web to the fire and release it to light the web. Suck up more minor webs to the right. Get the web ball, light it, and go east and north to clear the large set of webs. You should have 27/47 webs cleared. Go back inside via the Dining Room and then go west.
- 18In the Library (2F), suck up reachable minor webs. Approach the north-central picture of a fire. Use the Dark-Light to spawn a fire. Quickly suck up the web ball and light it. Go west and south to clear more webs. You should have 31/47 webs cleared.
- 19Return to the Dining Room. Trigger the dumbwaiter with the northeastern pullstring and go down. You can loot the Patio from the Kitchen by going south (there's a Gold Greenie and gold spiders to the west), but proceed to the Library (1F).
- 20In the Library (1F), suck up visible webs. Look for missing stacks of books and the grand piano. Revealing the grand piano will reveal a Boo. Use the Dark-Light to stun it, then vacuum it. You should have 34/47 webs cleared after this area. Backtrack to the Foyer and enter the Common Hall.
- 21In the Common Hall, grab the northwestern web ball and light it with the southeastern candle. Clear the webs to the north, reaching 39/47 webs.
- 22To reach 3F, go back to the Foyer, exit northwest on 2F, then go north. Pull the string there and go up to the Rafters.
- 23In the Rafters, suck up the two nearby webs and one to the west near the safe. Use the Strobulb on the safe to get approximately 95 Gold.
Tips
- Ghosts with pots and pans as armor require you to dodge an attack before you can damage them.
- The Power Gauge may not be visible on your HUD (Heads-Up Display, which shows game information) even if it is functioning.
- The first Poltergust upgrade can defeat the Boo in the Dining Room in one hit.
