Chapter 12: Markiona, Puppeteer of Death

After the cutscene (a non-interactive story sequence), follow the butterflies to the overgrown stargazer (a save point and fast travel location) to be transported.

Follow the snowy path up the hill to a large clearing.

After defeating the enemies here, look for a chest in the small cave.

Open chest to obtain Winter's Hunting Hat and Winter's Hunting Apparel.

Continue up the slope and check the left side by the carriage to obtain the Krat Zoo Newspaper Advert.

Repair the Stargazer.

Use the Stargazer and choose "Talk with Gemini" (a companion character).

Before continuing, go back down the slope to the edge of the clearing.

Warning: Die to Freeze Damage to obtain Shiver.

Cross the bridge and follow the snowy path over the hill.

Search the ground at the bottom of the hill by some crates to obtain the Circus Worker's Letter.

Continue down to the frozen river and follow it under the bridge and up to the zoo.

Note: There is a Full Moonstone of the Covenant hidden behind some nearby icicles.

Follow the path behind the lion statue to the front of Krat Zoo; mutant baboons will try to stop you.

Go up the steps and search the ground near the broken elephant statue to obtain Colonel Little's Guide to Krat Zoo.

Open the door to enter the Hall of Adventure.

Repair the Stargazer.

Search the ground behind the mammoth to obtain Discover Wildlife: Bears!.

Read Discover Wildlife: Bears! to get the Play Dead (a gesture or ability).

Go up the steps to the balcony.

Talk to the Bloodied Man to get MISSING: Romeo.

Go left into the exhibit room and clear out the enemies.

Search the ground near the crocodile exhibit to obtain Krat Mysteries: The Vanished Taxidermist.

Go outside and climb down the ladder.

Open the chest to obtain Quartz (a crafting material).

Go back up and explore the right section of the second floor.

Go through the long hallway but watch out for the ambush (enemies suddenly appearing).

Go down the ladder and investigate the large creature.

Defeat the Carcass Elephant to get a Resplendent Ergo Chunk (a currency or upgrade item).

Go up the steps and look for a chest on the right.

Open the chest to obtain the Royal Horn Bow (a weapon).

Go to the left side of the steps and onto the balcony.

Go down the ladder and clear out the enemies at the bottom.

Follow the wooden path and keep to the left.

Open the door to create a path back to the stargazer.

Rest, if needed, then go down to the frozen river and turn right under the broken bridge.

Note: Quartz drops from the Dimensional Butterfly (a special enemy) here.

Search behind the icicles for a chest.

Open the chest to obtain the Legion Caliber (a weapon upgrade).

Go back up the river and continue to the large clearing with several cages; be careful as you will get swarmed by several dogs.

Look for a chest in the right-most enclosure to obtain the Winter's Sleep Amulet (an accessory).

Enter the left-most enclosure and climb the ladder.

Cross over and go down the ladder to the other side.

Follow the path until you see a big baboon.

Open the chest to obtain an Ancient Disk (a collectible item).

Go through the hole in the fence and continue along the path through carcass kangaroos (enemies).

Repair the Stargazer.

Use the Stargazer and choose "Talk with Gemini".

Follow the frozen river to a small clearing.

Defeat the Carcass Elephant to get the Genius's Legion Plug (a weapon upgrade).

Follow the path to a tree with many birdhouses.

Use the Faded Whistle (an item).

Note: If you did not get the Faded Whistle back in Chapter 2, you can come back here after getting the Daylight-Wreathed Horn in the next chapter, as it also works.

Search the ground to obtain a Golden Seed (a collectible item).

Continue down to the frozen river and try not to get run over by the big snowball waiting to crush you to the right.

Look for a chest past the broken icicles.

Open the chest to obtain the Lorenzini Bolt Blade (a weapon).

Go up the ramp and follow the wooden path to the Rainforest section.

Search the body by the frozen waterfall to obtain the Announcement for the Brotherhood of Truth.

Continue up the steps and open the door.

Repair the Stargazer.

Continue outside and follow the wooden path to the right.

Drop down and clear out the enemies; if you get into trouble, run up the ramp and climb the ladder.

Go up the ramp near where you dropped down and climb the ladder.

Continue across until you can drop down to the platform with a chest.

Open the chest to obtain the Broken Cutting Grindstone and Broken Piercing Grindstone (weapon upgrade materials).

Drop down and go up the ladder closer to the waterfall.

Turn left to the rooftop of the Savanna Experience Center.

Search the body to obtain the Secret Letter with the Uroboros Emblem.

Press the button to open the shortcut (a path back to earlier areas).

Rest, if needed, then backtrack and climb down the ladder.

Drop down to the very large clearing and prepare for a tough fight.

Defeat the Tyrannical Predator to get a Full Moonstone (a rare upgrade material).

Enter the cave and climb the ladder.

Investigate the Forsaken Arche Puppet.

Repair the Stargazer.

Open the door to enter the greenhouse.

Continue forward until you come to a dead Mr. X where the path splits.

Take the lower path first; there are several puppets patrolling this area, so unless you want to die, pull them one at a time with consumables (items used during combat) or the Royal Horn Bow.

Search the ground inside the metal enclosure to obtain an Ancient Disk.

Return to the intersection and go up the walkway to the other side.

Press the button to open the shortcut.

Enter the large cage.

Defeat the Muscle Puppet to get the Emergency Directive: No. 1.

Climb the ladder and follow the outer balcony.

Climb the ladder and continue forward.

Climb another ladder.

Note: Beware, there are 3 puppets up here that will try to ambush you, so have Fable Arts (special abilities) or Throwables (items thrown at enemies) ready to burn some of them down.

Climb one more ladder.

Search the desk to obtain A Warning to Markiona and an Echo Player (a collectible item).

Play A Warning to Markiona.

Continue out onto the metal walkway and drop back down into the greenhouse.

Repair the Stargazer.

Open the door to enter the Greenhouse Interior.
