Story Mode is the heart of "Liar's Bar," where you embark on a narrative-driven journey to become the most renowned (or notorious) bartender in the city. Your goal is to serve specific patrons, uncover their secrets, and ultimately achieve the coveted "Golden Shaker" award.

• Objective: Complete a series of character-specific quests, serving drinks and gathering information.
• Walkthrough Steps:
  1. Initial Setup: Begin at the main bar counter. Your first patron, "Whispering Willow," will appear. She always orders a "Truth Serum Tonic."
  2. Crafting the Truth Serum Tonic:
     • Locate the "Glimmering Gin" on the top shelf, far left.
     • Find the "Sly Syringe" in the utility drawer behind the bar.
     • Combine these with the "Whisperweed Extract", found in the small, locked cabinet beneath the register (code: 7-3-4).
     • Mix in the "Crystal Goblet", located on the drying rack.
  3. Serving and Eliciting Information: Present the drink to Willow. She will then reveal a clue about the next patron, "Silent Sam," and his preferred drink, the "Memory Muddle."
  4. Unlocking New Ingredients: Successfully serving Willow unlocks the backroom, where you'll find the "Forget-Me-Not Berries" and the "Elixir of Evasion", crucial for later recipes.
  5. Navigating Dialogue: When interacting with patrons, pay close attention to their dialogue. Choosing the correct conversational options (e.g., "Feigned Agreement" or "Subtle Flattery") will yield more information and improve your "Deception Stat."

Challenge Mode is a fast-paced, high-stakes test of your bartending and deception skills. You'll face a continuous stream of demanding patrons, each with unique drink orders and a desire to uncover your deepest secrets. The goal is to serve as many patrons as possible before your "Credibility Meter" drops to zero.

  1. Rapid Service: Patrons in Challenge Mode have a much shorter patience timer. Focus on speed and efficiency in crafting drinks.
  2. Drink Identification: New patrons will appear with a thought bubble indicating their desired drink. For example, "Grumpy Gus" always wants a "Sour Truth Serum," while "Flirty Fiona" prefers a "Sweet Deception."
  3. Credibility Management: Each incorrect drink or failed lie will decrease your "Credibility Meter." Successfully serving a drink or pulling off a convincing lie will slightly replenish it.
  4. Power-Ups: Occasionally, a special glowing bottle, the "Instant Ingredient", will appear on the counter. Grabbing it instantly provides one random ingredient, saving valuable time. Another power-up, the "Silver Tongue Scroll", temporarily boosts your "Deception Stat" for 15 seconds.
  5. Endless Rounds: The game continues until your "Credibility Meter" is empty. Your score is based on the number of patrons served and the difficulty of the drinks crafted.

Free Play Mode offers a relaxed environment where you can experiment with drink recipes, practice your bartending skills, and interact with a rotating cast of generic patrons without the pressure of a story or time limit. This is the perfect mode for honing your craft and discovering new concoctions.

  1. Ingredient Exploration: All ingredients, including rare ones like the "Phoenix Feather Dust" (found in the hidden compartment behind the large barrel) and the "Dragon's Breath Chili" (located in the spice rack, bottom right), are immediately available.
  2. Recipe Discovery: There are no predefined orders. Patrons will simply express a general desire (e.g., "something sweet," "something strong"). Experiment with combinations to see what effects different drinks have on them.
  3. Dialogue Practice: Engage in extensive dialogue with patrons. Free Play allows you to explore every dialogue branch without penalty, helping you understand the nuances of the "Deception Stat" and its impact on conversations.
