The Campaign Mode in Laysara: Summit Kingdom provides a narrative experience across 15 missions of increasing complexity, designed to save the Kingdom of Laysara. This mode is part of the 1.0 Update. The campaign begins with tutorial missions that cannot have their difficulty adjusted, serving as an introduction to core game mechanics.

The campaign missions include:

  1. Mission 1 (Tutorial): Rivergreen Knoll
Introduces Lowlanders, food production, Enlightenment, workforce management, basic needs fulfillment, and house upgrading.
  2. Mission 2 (Tutorial): Hopespark Hill
Teaches about Artisans and Monks, taxes, prosperity goods, bridges and shafts, distribution, research, and managing small avalanches. After this mission, you choose a difficulty (Adept by default) for the rest of the campaign.
  3. Mission 3: Splintered Soul
This mission requires you to build your first major settlement, which will serve as your main city for subsequent missions. It involves establishing a lowland village for food (tsampa and cheese), an artisan quarter with baths, and a monks quarter with monastery walls. Upgrading houses in each district is necessary to satisfy the royal emissary. This mission has a Level 1 avalanche risk, requiring minimal management.

The campaign emphasizes building a network of cities connected by trade. This allows you to specialize production on one mountain and export goods to other maps. Ice Altars are particularly useful for boosting production in this game mode. Resource distribution varies across maps; some may have limited resources, like a single copper mine, necessitating technological advancements for resource movement between levels.
