6. Closing Your Game

So, you've pushed your characters to their limits, honed their skills, and maybe even built a thriving outpost. That's the core of Kenshi – seeing your squad grow from weaklings into powerhouses. Specializing them makes them incredibly effective, whether it's for brutal combat or intricate crafting. Remember, the journey is as much about the struggle as it is about the eventual triumph.

As you wrap up your playthrough, consider the satisfaction of seeing your carefully trained squad, perhaps a group of seasoned sand ninjas, effortlessly handle threats like hungry bandits. It's a testament to the game's mechanics and your strategic training. Don't forget that the experience gained is influenced by a few factors, like the base experience, your exp gain multiplier (defaulting to 3), racial multipliers, and the level multiplier (1-level/101)². For combat skills, the Stronger Opponent Logic (SOL) also plays a big role, giving you a boost when you're outmatched.

Keep in mind that while most skills can't reach level 101 through training alone, and many cap at 100, the journey to get there is what Kenshi is all about. Field Medic and Robotics are the exceptions, leveling up based on time spent. As you approach the end of your Kenshi adventure, reflect on the characters you've shaped and the challenges you've overcome. That's the true victory in Kenshi.
