In Vol.1, the story begins around the same time as the start of Genso Suikoden 2 and concludes shortly after Jowy takes control of Greenhill. During Vol.1, you will encounter many of the 108 Stars of Destiny, including Riou (the novel's name for the Suikoden 2 Hero).
