Destroying Hive Spawners

Hive spawners are static structures that continuously generate enemy units. Destroying them is a key objective in most waves and is crucial for managing enemy pressure. You'll typically find 1-2 spawners per wave, sometimes more in later waves or higher difficulties. The 'A Blow Against the Enemy' achievement is earned by destroying 20 hive spawners over your lifetime, while 'Strike at the Heart' requires destroying 4 in a single run.

Prioritize destroying spawners, especially if they are located in easily accessible areas. They often have a health bar and can be destroyed with sustained fire from any weapon. Be mindful of enemies guarding the spawners, and use grenades or area-of-effect abilities to clear them out before focusing fire on the spawner itself. Early destruction of spawners can significantly reduce the difficulty of a wave.
