Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for the Plague Trial in Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, including puzzle solutions, lorestone locations, and tips for the Rune Door challenge.
Walkthrough
- 1Start by jumping off the ledge to the left of the Barnstokkr Tree.
- 2Follow the path, wading through water and a flooded house.
- 3Use the first stone archway by walking to its right and looking through it to make debris disappear.
- 4Continue to a broken bridge; this is a perspective puzzle.
- 5Pass a watchtower and use a second stone archway. Look through it from behind to find Lorestone ᚢ (1/2).
- 6Look through the second archway again to clear a doorway in a wooden fence.
- 7Go through the arch, then return to the second arch. Going through it again restores the wooden fence and a staircase to the watchtower.
- 8Climb the watchtower and look right from the bridge to line up the perspective puzzle for the main bridge leading to a house.
- 9Cross the repaired bridge and enter the house.
- 10Locate Lorestone ᛋ (2/2) on the side opposite the Rune Door. Do NOT activate the Rune Door yet, or you will miss this Lorestone.
- 11Activate the Rune Door when ready. You will be teleported to a maze with a fire monster.
- 12Navigate the maze, avoiding the fire monster. Look for holes in the wooden walls that match the required Rune shapes.
- 13Follow Dillion's light, reflected in puddles on the floor, to find the Runes.
- 14Collect all three Runes.
- 15Follow Dillion's light back to the Rune Door to escape the maze.
Tips
- The Plague Trial is recommended to be done last due to its chronological and Lorestone order.
- The Rune Door maze is timed; prioritize avoiding the fire monster.
- The map's red line can guide you, but be prepared to adapt if the monster blocks paths.
- Runes are found by looking for specific shaped holes in the walls.
- Dillion's light, reflected in puddles, is your primary guide in the maze for both Runes and the exit.
- Ensure you collect Lorestone ᛋ (2/2) before activating the Rune Door.
