Master Hearthstone's Tutorial with Cariel Roame Guide

The Hearthstone tutorial is the initial experience designed to introduce players to the game. It consists of six missions that must be completed before players can engage in standard play. This tutorial functions as an introductory game mode with simplified gameplay and guided instructions.

Upon completion, players are directed to the main menu and receive quests to play in practice or constructed modes. While the tutorial ends, further guidance is provided on new screens and during the first matches, explaining mechanics like the mulligan and The Coin, effectively extending the tutorial within the game's environment. It is the first and most crucial part of the new player experience.

The tutorial is presented the first time a player launches the game in any region. Although intended for a single playthrough, it can be replayed by accessing the (?) icon within the practice mode of the Solo Adventures menu.

Walkthrough

Mission 1: Jaina Proudmoore faces Hogger. No Hero Power, no mulligan, no starting hand, no mana. All cards cost 0 mana. Player goes first. Impossible to lose.

Mission 2: Jaina faces Millhouse Manastorm. No Hero Power, no mulligan, two starting cards. Player goes first. Impossible to lose.

Mission 3: Jaina faces Lorewalker Cho. Player gains Hero Power. Second player receives an extra card. Player cannot end turn with unspent mana or without attacking with all possible minions.

Mission 4: Jaina faces King Mukla. Player cannot cast Fireball, Polymorph, or Fireblast on themselves or their own minions.

Mission 5: Jaina faces Hemet Nesingwary. The word "Cost" is superimposed above mana crystals.

Mission 6: Jaina faces Illidan Stormrage.

Tips

Follow the on-screen prompts and spoken advice from Jaina.
Pay attention to highlighted areas and red arrows indicating correct actions or targets.
Understand that certain actions are restricted to ensure progression and learning.
Basic cards and unique boss cards are used; new cards are rewarded to signify their upcoming use.
The tutorial uses scripted coin flips and deck orders, and mulligans are unavailable.
Hero Powers are introduced gradually, starting from the second mission.
The Coin is not added to the player's hand during the tutorial.
Bosses have varying starting health (10, 20, 30 for the first three).
Players cannot concede during the tutorial.
Emotes are not accessible.
