Alright, let's talk about the Burning Library in Graven. It's a bit of a mess, thanks to Kyros's Edict of Fire, but there are still some secrets to uncover. ### Entrance When you first arrive, you'll find Foul Murmur giving Folant a rough time. Best to steer clear of a fight here unless you're ready to take on the whole camp. To the north, there's a plateau. If you warned the Sages before the Edict of Fire during Conquest, you can get here from the upper ruins. Look for the cross formations – interacting with them gets you the Sigil of Frostfire and a +5 boost to Control Fire. Keep an eye out for a hidden container with the Emberglow Hood. In the center, the Scarlet Chorus has set up camp. You'll find some minor loot in their containers. Near the entrance to the upper ruins, you can find The Censor and Jelena (she's only around if you're on the Disfavored path). ### Upper Ruins Lantry will mention forcefields when you enter, so you know you'll need a specific sequence to get through. He'll also point out the lava lake, a grim reminder of where the Sages used to make parchment. Keep an eye out for a Sage who's faking his death. If you play along, you might get some info. If you try to help him, you'll get the opposite reaction. He'll give you the first part of the passphrase. You'll need 42 Lore to grab the incomplete passphrase from the shelves. Use the nearby rubble to get an ink-stirring pole. Head back to the first barrier and dispel it once it shows the sigil symbol. Watch out for Fat Ulsten and Gaptooth as you move further in. If you warned the Sages earlier, you can head northwest to reach that plateau with the magic cross formations again. You can snag the Emberglow Hood there and learn the Sigil of Fire by touching the crosses. If you have 44 Athletics, you can enter the Scriptorium. The Sage in there has a potion recipe that's useful for research at the Library Spire. Past Gaptooth's spot, there's a rope and pulley that will let you drop down to the lower levels. ### Lower Ruins Here you'll meet Numbly. If you had Gaptooth deal with Numbly using Subterfuge, you'll find her here instead. Near the statue, you can grab the Mindstatic Torc. Further northeast, you'll find more shelves. Among them are another piece of the incomplete passphrase and The First Kings of Stalwart. This last one is important for ending the Edict of Storms.
