Master all 8 B License tests in Gran Turismo 4, from acceleration to cornering, and unlock the HONDA S500 '63 for achieving all gold.

B License Test 1: Acceleration and Braking: 1

Test Car: Mazda DEMIO (J) '99

Times: Gold: 0'10.150, Silver: 0'10.400, Bronze: 0'11.300

Information: From a standing start, accelerate to the 100-meter finish line, then brake to a complete stop. Your total time is measured from start to stop. Key to success is finding the exact braking point and applying the correct braking force.

Strategy: Accelerate fully until you reach the middle of the large zeros on the track, then apply full braking force.

B License Test 2: Acceleration and Braking: 2

Test Car: Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo (J) '95

Times: Gold: 0'11.000, Silver: 0'11.220, Bronze: 0'12.200

Information: Another standing start test. Accelerate to the 200-meter line and stop as close to the finish line as possible. The increased distance means higher speed and thus longer braking distances. Use the previous test's braking point as a reference and adjust accordingly.

Strategy: Start with full acceleration, then brake hard slightly after the line between the 100-meter and 200-meter marks. You should skid to a stop within the end zone. This should only take a few tries.

B License Test 3: Basics of Cornering: 1

Test Car: Honda CR-X del Sol SiR '92

Times: Gold: 0'30.900, Silver: 0'31.500, Bronze: 0'33.500

Information: This test focuses on the basic "out-in-out" racing line using the first corner of the Deep Forest Course. Accelerate fully on the straight and move towards the outside edge of the track, looking for the curbing and apex. If the car goes over the curbing, maintain throttle; being too aggressive with the gas can cause understeer, leading to going off track at the exit.

Strategy: Start from a standstill, accelerate fully, and as you crest the hill, steer slightly towards the solid white line on your right. Brake when the grass next to the road turns into a rumble strip, and steer left. Maintain approximately 48 MPH exiting the turn, accelerate fully, and cross the finish line.

B License Test 4: Basics of Cornering: 2

Test Car: Nissan SILVIA Q's AERO (S14) '96

Times: Gold: 0'29.800, Silver: 0'30.400, Bronze: 0'32.300

Information: Using the same section of the Deep Forest Course, this test uses a powerful front-engine/rear-wheel drive (FR) car. Higher power means faster travel, so you'll need to brake harder. Maintain the same line as the previous test. Keep the throttle steady when on the curbing; too much gas can cause oversteer and a spin.

Strategy: Start at full throttle and immediately steer towards the solid white line on your right. Drive parallel to it. You can brake at roughly the same point as the previous test, but brake harder. Maintain a speed of around 50 MPH while braking.

B License Test 5: 1 Lap Guide Run (Tsukuba)

Test Car: MINI ONE '02

Times: Gold: 1'27.200, Silver: 1'29.300, Bronze: 1'37.000

Information: To learn the Tsukuba Circuit, follow the pace car's exact racing line for a few laps. The pace car adjusts its speed to yours. Do not pass or hit the pace car. Tsukuba is a tight, short track essential for learning high-speed driving basics. Start slowly to learn the track, then gradually increase your pace.

Strategy: Run a few laps to learn the track and follow the pace car's line.

B License Test 6: Acceleration and Braking: 3

Test Car: Renault Megane 2.0 16V '03

Times: Gold: 0'22.800, Silver: 0'23.300, Bronze: 0'25.500

Information: This is another longer acceleration and braking run on the drag strip. From a standing start, accelerate to the 500-meter mark and stop completely. Due to the higher speed, finding the correct braking point will be more challenging. Use the 100-meter mark as a guideline and make necessary adjustments.

Strategy: Accelerate fully, and brake hard at the 450-meter mark. This may take a few tries.

B License Test 7: Acceleration and Braking: 4

Test Car: Dodge Viper GTS '99

Times: Gold: 0'27.000, Silver: 0'27.810, Bronze: 0'30.000

Information: This is the final acceleration and braking test, using the high-output FR Dodge Viper. The distance is 1000 meters. Braking from over 125 Miles Per Hour will make finding the ideal braking point difficult. Mastering this test will be beneficial for actual racing.

Strategy: Accelerate fully, and brake hard at the 815-meter mark. You should stop within the braking zone. This may take a few tries.
