This guide covers the essential elements for completing Gran Turismo 4. Learn about the different game modes, how to earn points, and unlock rewards.

Game Modes:

1. A-Spec Mode: Earn A-Spec Points by winning races. The difficulty of the race and the car's advantage over AI opponents influence the points awarded. Points can be re-earned with less advantageous cars.
2. B-Spec Mode: Take on the role of a crew chief, managing your AI driver's aggression, pit stops, and race strategy. The race speed can be increased up to 3x (potentially 5x, though this is debated) to shorten endurance races. B-Spec Points increase the AI driver's skill levels.
3. Driving Missions: These challenges are similar to license tests and award 250 A-Spec points and credits upon successful completion. There are four sets of missions: The Pass, 3 Lap Battle, Slipstream Battle, and 1 Lap Magic. Completing each set rewards the player with a prize car, with a total of 5 prize cars available.

Hardware Compatibility:

• Supports 480p/480i and 1080i HD (NTSC-U region only).
• Supports PlayStation 2 Network Adapter for multi-screen setups and local subnet play for up to six players (customized cars cannot be used in LAN games).
• Supports Logitech Driving Force Pro and GT Force steering wheels.
• USB storage and print devices can be used in Photo Mode.
