This region has four Bamboo Strikes. Keep in mind, one of them is tied to the main quest Way of the Dual Katana, so you'll naturally encounter it during the story. The others are out in the world waiting for you.

Home Bamboo Strike

You'll find the first one right near Atsu's family home. Just head to the southern edge of the plateau where the house is located. It's pretty straightforward to find once you're in the area.

Nupur River Bamboo Strike

Head northwest from the Yotei's Shadow Inn, and cross the Nupur River. Look for a dense thicket past the river – you'll need to cut through some thin bamboo walls to find this Bamboo Strike inside, near a campsite.

Yotei River Bamboo Strike

This one is located along the northwestern edge of the Yotei Grasslands. Just follow the Yotei River heading west, and keep an eye out for a bluff north of the river. The Bamboo Strike is up there, overlooking some white-flowering trees.

Way of the Dual Katana Bamboo Strike

As mentioned, you'll do this one during the main quest Way of the Dual Katana. It's a bit unique because it focuses on strength training using Atsu's left arm, meaning the inputs are D-Pad based instead of the usual face buttons. The trick here is to smoothly roll your thumb across the D-Pad as prompted, rather than trying to hit each direction individually. You only get a reward for clearing the third stage, even if you mess up the first two.

Tokachi Range Bamboo Strikes

The Tokachi Range has three Bamboo Strikes, but two are a bit tricky to find or access. One is at the Huranui’s Rest Inn, and another is hidden within a bamboo forest maze tied to a side quest. The third one is more straightforward.

Huranui’s Rest Inn Bamboo Strike

This one isn't marked on the map, but it's at the Huranui’s Rest Inn, a key hub in the region. Head northeast from Serpent Pass along the Nupur River, and you'll find the inn. The Bamboo Strike is just south of the main building. There's a note here that tells you you need to be drunk to complete it. So, find some sake nearby, drink up, and then give the strike a go. It's more about muscle memory for the inputs than visual cues when you're tipsy.

Niikappu’s Fork Bamboo Strike

From the Huranui’s Rest Inn, follow the Niikappu River northeast until it forks. This Bamboo Strike is located in the forest to the east of the fork, sitting on a rocky hill. Watch out, we were ambushed by bears here, so be prepared!

Misty Valley Bamboo Strike

Head south from the Huranui’s Rest Inn, cross the Nupur River, and follow a trail of white flowers past Shizunai Woods. You'll reach a Mysterious Gate that starts the side quest The Spider Lily General. To complete this Bamboo Strike, you need to navigate the bamboo forest maze to find a key. The strike itself is a three-stalk one, and you can only complete it after you've grabbed that key.

Ishikari Plain Bamboo Strikes

There are three Bamboo Strikes in the Ishikari Plain. One is found along the eastern edge of the area, and another is located to the northeast, just past the Rumoi River. Both of these are fairly standard finds.
