How to Beat Elite Unit: The 'Annihilator' Mech

Defeat the formidable Annihilator Mech in FragPunk by understanding its Twin Gatling Cannons and armor weak points. Master this boss encounter.

The Annihilator Mech is a heavily armored, bipedal combat platform encountered in Mission 3: 'Steel Gauntlet'. It possesses formidable firepower and defensive capabilities. You'll typically face this boss as Vanguard or Titan.

Phases & Attacks:

1. Phase 1 (100%-60% Health): The Annihilator primarily uses its 'Twin Gatling Cannons' for sustained fire and occasionally launches 'Tracking Missiles'.
2. Phase 2 (60%-30% Health): In addition to Phase 1 attacks, it deploys 'Mini-Turrets' and activates a 'Shield Generator' that makes its front impervious to damage.
3. Phase 3 (30%-0% Health): It becomes more aggressive, frequently using a 'Ground Pound' area-of-effect attack and increasing its movement speed.

Weaknesses & Strategy:

• Weak Point: The Annihilator's primary weak point is a glowing 'Power Core' located on its back.
• Phase 1: Focus fire on its legs to slow its movement. Dodge Tracking Missiles by sprinting or using Tactical Dash. Use Frag Grenades to deal burst damage.
• Phase 2: When the Shield Generator activates, you MUST flank the Annihilator to hit its Power Core. Destroy the Mini-Turrets immediately as they can quickly overwhelm you. If playing as Titan, use Deployable Shield to protect your team while flanking.
• Phase 3: Maintain distance to avoid the Ground Pound. Use your ultimate ability (Overcharge for Vanguard, Fortify for Titan) during this phase to maximize damage output on the Power Core. If playing with a team, coordinate focus fire on the Power Core.

Rewards:

Defeating the Annihilator grants a significant amount of XP, Credits, and unlocks the 'Mech Slayer' emblem.
