Rivals Mode

Race against ghost cars in Forza Motorsport's Rivals Mode, a time trial against other players' recorded laps.

Rivals Mode in Forza Motorsport allows you to race against other players, but instead of live opponents, you race against their ghost cars. These ghost cars are recordings of other players' previous races and cannot be collided with; you will simply pass through them. It functions similarly to racing your own best lap time, but the challenge comes from beating another human's recorded performance.

This mode is not part of the career mode and is accessible from the main menu. When you encounter a new rival, you will receive an in-game message stating "New Rival Recommendation." The core gameplay involves competing against another human being's recorded time, with a ghost car precisely following the path they took.

You receive the same rewards as you would for a standard race. Playing Rivals Mode is not required to complete the game.
