Begin your journey in Forza Horizon with our comprehensive New Racer guide. Learn about the Horizon Festival, race events, car customization, and more to become the ultimate champion.

Welcome to the Horizon Festival! This guide will help you get started in Forza Horizon, a spin-off of the Forza Motorsport series that offers an arcade-style experience in an open-world setting. Developed by Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios, Forza Horizon was released on October 23, 2012, for Xbox 360 and is playable on newer Xbox consoles via backwards compatibility.

The Horizon Festival: Your main goal is to become the Horizon Champion by defeating Darius Flynt. As you progress by winning events, you'll earn points towards your wristband, unlocking higher tiers of competition.

Race Events: To advance, participate in Festival Events and Showcase races to increase your popularity. After winning enough races, you'll need a wristband to unlock more events. Rivals will challenge you to Star Showdowns for a chance to win their signature car and cash.

Sponsor Challenges: Complete these stunt challenges for sponsors to earn bonus credits and progress through ten ranks.

PR Stunts: These promotional events, found at Horizon Outposts, offer discounts on fast travel. They include photo shoots, speed traps, and skill chain stunts.

Location: The game is set in Colorado, USA, featuring a day/night cycle. You'll encounter AI traffic, other racers, speed traps, and Street Races. Horizon Outposts serve as hubs.

Collectables: Discover up to nine barn finds and over one hundred discount signs scattered throughout the world.

Music: Enjoy three radio stations curated by Rob da Bank: Horizon Bass Arena (dance), Horizon Pulse (indie), and Horizon Rocks (rock).

Vehicles: Customize over 200 cars with performance upgrades and new paint jobs. Tuning setups are not available in this installment.
