Runes are essential for enhancing your heroes' skill trees (Awakening) and promoting them to higher star ranks. Efficient rune farming is crucial for progressing in Epic Seven. This guide will walk you through the optimal strategies for acquiring the runes you need.

Where to Farm Runes: The Spirit Altar

The primary location for farming runes is the Spirit Altar, accessible from the Lobby. Each day, different elemental Altars are open, rotating through Fire, Ice, Earth, Light, and Dark. On weekends, all Altars are open, making it the ideal time to farm specific runes.

• Daily Rotation:
  • Monday: Fire Altar (Blaze Runes)
  • Tuesday: Ice Altar (Frost Runes)
  • Wednesday: Earth Altar (Life Runes)
  • Thursday: Light Altar (Shining Runes)
  • Friday: Dark Altar (Darkness Runes)
  • Saturday & Sunday: All Altars Open
• Altar Difficulty Tiers: The Spirit Altar has multiple difficulty levels, from 1 to 10. Higher difficulties yield better rune drops, including Greater and Epic Runes. Always aim to clear the highest difficulty you can consistently farm.

Rune Types and Their Uses

There are three tiers of runes for each element:

• Lesser Runes: Used for early skill tree enhancements and lower-tier promotions.

Early Game (Adventure Mode Progress)

3. Targeted Farming: Instead of general farming, check which heroes you plan to 6-star or fully awaken next. For example, if you're building a new Wyvern 13 team, you'll likely need a lot of Ice Runes for heroes like Furious, Sigret, or Angelica.
4. Rune Conversion: Remember that you can convert Lesser Runes into Greater Runes, and Greater Runes into Epic Runes at the Sanctuary's High Command. This is an expensive but viable option if you have an excess of lower-tier runes but are critically short on higher-tier ones. However, direct farming is generally more energy-efficient.
